GRE-made Scanner Firmware Update

I haven't used my scanner in at least 3 years. I am trying to update the firmware and when I plug my scanner into the computer I get the sound recognition if a USB device being attached, but the scanner says "searching for USB". I don't know how to get my computer to recognize the scanner so I can update my firmware.

Any suggestions?

Step 1. Make sure that your computer is loading the GRE driver for the com port (you can check using Device Manager.) If not, the .inf file is on the CD that came with the radio.

new psr-800 software

I received updates for new and updated software for the psr-800 . It was a free download. I cannot find that link anywhere. I use windows 10
Help is always welcome.
