Heard testing this morning about 7:10 am couldn't catch any audio to describe what this may be.
Radio ID's were:1825XXX
Anybody else have any info on this?

Just before lunch Tuesday, I heard a couple of quick transmissions on TG56586. The radio id's were 1825xxx. The only transmission that I could make out (they were talking really fast) was a request to go to lunch, which was granted.

I was out of the house for the rest of the afternoon. When I came back this evening I have not heard any additional traffic on 56856. I should be home tomorrow morning, we'll see if 56586 is active again.

Bud,

By my last few hits I'm going to guess Greater Cleveland Parking Authority
This is just a guess and I did hear a few times something about short term.

Daleb49,

Sounds like a good possibility. I've heard multiple really short exchanges ending in "short term". Example: 14 calling, off for 4 short term.

As I was typing this I heard "Daniel... Go ahead...1298 West 9th, 30 minute warm up.
When I google that address I get a parking lot.

Bud I'll say one thing they sure keep transmissions short and sweet.
I'm sure all the good detectives we have in the group will pin it down.
The new TG's keep rolling in.

TG56494 Parma Hts Fire Dispatch

A few minutes ago (2:30) I monitored the following traffic on TG56494: Parma Hts Fire Dispatch to Unit 41. The reply was garbled.

As I'm typing Parma Hts Fire Dispatch called out again, this time to a portable. The reply from the portable was clear. The radio id's are 18768xx.

Now, several more radio checks from various locations

From the short hand being used in the exchanges I can't make any determination. The last traffic I heard was...235 I'm taking a short term break...OK. That traffic doesn't sound like "short term" has anything to do with a parking lot.

Still trying to figure out what group this is. User's are identified as a number. Example 21 to 35. Occasionally a name is used. The locations mentioned (so far) all seem to be in downtown Cleveland (East 12, Euclid, Willard,...).

This morning a (number) user called into saying.. I'm at E12th & Euclid, is this B6 or B7. I think the answer came back B6.

A few minutes later a call from a (number) user called in asking (sounded like) what Beat (or it could have been) B was he supposed to be in? The reply what B5.

Maybe it's too soon, but I haven't heard comms that I would expect from an officer on the street, such as issuing a parking ticket, running plates, calling for a tow, etc..

Parking meter enforcement workers ? If Cleve has such ?

KW,

We may have a winner. Just heard the following traffic:
Supervisor...Check out the meters at 38th and Superior.
Person in the field... I don't see any meters...
Supervisor... The meters are on the side of the street, cars pull in in at an angle.
Field person... OK, I see them.

So I can think of 3 groups that would be involved with parking meters. Enforcement, Collections and Maintenance. Collections usually take place after hours. Maintenance would only be called out when needed to deal with specific broken meter(s). Anyone else besides Enforcement that would be walking a Beat and checking meters?

I'll keep monitoring, just to make sure.

Greater Cleveland Parking Authority?

I never heard of a Greater Cleveland Parking Authority but there is a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Are you sure that it was not City of Cleveland :: Division of Parking Facilities that you heard?
Happy Holidays

Didn't mean to confuse any one on Greater Cleve. Parking Authority.
I just used that wording instead of something less.
I also heard on this trunk Group something about tickets and license plates so I think were are very close on it's definition.
Also have had a few hits on 56587 which adds up to what Bud said with different groups with parking meters.

OK. Now that we know who's on TG56586 what submission should be made to the database? The Alpha Tag is limited to 12 characters: CLE Parking (11) fits, CLE MetrRedr (12) fits.

The following is my suggestion:

Alpha Tag: CLE Parking
Description: Division of Parking Facilities, Meter Readers & Attendants
Tag: Public Works

Let me know what you think.

TG56478 Olmstead Falls Fire Dispatch

Hearing traffic on TG56478 Olmsted Falls Fire Dispatching engine to Cook Road house fire. One odd note, hearing two Dispatch Radio ID's 1873501 and 1875xxx. Also hearing two Fire crews radio id's 1875xxx and 1873xxx.

On scene commander ordered units on site to Fire Ground 1, traffic immediately appeared on TG56291, radio id's 1875xxx & 1873xxx.

Now (20 minutes into the call) also hearing traffic on TG56299 Fire Ground 2, radio id's 1873xxx.

I'm wondering if there are two departments involved. Only hearing units identified as Olmsted Falls Fire.

TG56478 in use by both Olmsted.. Falls & Twp

I was just listening to the clean up from the fire when I heard Olmsted Twp Fire on TG56478 dispatch their units to another fire. So both Olmsted Falls and Olmsted Twp are using TG56478 for Fire Dispatch.

Olmsted Falls Fire Dispatch radio id is 1875001. Olmsted Falls trucks and engines are1875xxx.

Olmsted Twp Fire Dispatch radio id is 1873501. Olmsted Twp trucks and engines are 1873xxx.

So I was hearing two fire departments.
