I too logged a ton of activity today on 56507. From what I could tell the testing was all done in Berea. I heard a few references to “dorms” that would indicate Baldwin Wallace Collage. How do we tag. Is this a mutual aid channel for the SWEDC for Berea?

Bud's and my UIDs show Strongsville affiliation. What UIDs do you see? Berea UID are in the 1867xxx and 1868xxx starting range.

From listening today, it's the Strongsville Technology Department. SWEDC is a Strongsville-owned entity, so the Strongsville UIDs make sense.

Any chance they were referring to Fire House/Station dorms and setting up alert alarms?

Yesterday I heard the techs removing analog lines and wiring to a new black box. There was also references to problems with the fiber. To me that sounded like removing an old analog (POTS alert?) system with a new digital system. I think that might go hand in hand with moving the dispatch to the new SWEDC (South West Dispatch Center?).

This morning around 9:15 one of the techs mentioned that the Moto guys should get here before 10. To me it still sounds like a Tech channel.

As far as Mutual Aid goes I would think that would be handled internally at the new combined Dispatch Center.

But that's just my best guess, based on the limited traffic I heard over the last three days.

OK, I just saw three other posts addressing this topic.

What's the current cc for GCRCN? I got one hit today at 1:37 and nothing else. When I hold it says looking for cc.

Ed,

I just checked and the CC shows as 856.162500

Which is one of the four CC's listed in the db.

Hmmm. That's curious. It's not in my program and I've been hearing/logging GCRCN recently.. :(

Oh it IS programmed in. and recognizing it as the cc.

This is strange. The signal is WAY down...RSS! 472 when it's normally high 600s or low 700s.

Looking back at the logs, something changed between March 7 and March 8. Everything was good until this week, but now every day there are only one or two hits on this system per day! :(

Well everything is good today so far. Either a fix, or conditions, or the phase of the moon.....

TG 56001

Had a couple of hits on TG 56001 today. This is another Cleveland public safety TG. Heard the CPD bomb squad calling CFD hazmat a couple of times. I think its safe to submit. Maybe down the road they will be more specific on what public safety TG it is but for now all I’m hearing them call it is public safety.

David & Tonya,

Almost since GCRCN went active, I've had the following list (range) of TG's that have been popping up from time to time. I'm just wondering if you can help to put names/tags to them.

56001 - 56009 (no tag in my scanner. I've heard various dept's use these, very limited traffic)
56010 - 56012 City 1-3 (listed in RR DB)
56013 - 56028 CPD Spcl Dtl 1 - 16 (my tag in my scanner based on very limited traffic)
56029 - 56044 Region Interop 1 - 16 listed in RR DB

Thanks

I just added two new interop talkgroups to the system. While adding them, I noticed one other existing talkgroup that might be better suited for this set as well.

The Cleveland talkgroups seems to be well group together for the most part,

56003 is currently listed in Cleveland Public Works. Could this be moved to the Cleveland Common and retagged as interop?

56162 seems to be out of place as well. It is stuck in the middle of a bunch of PD talkgroups. Do we have this one wrong as well?
