Everything is not accurate but I'm working through it.

I have found at least (I'm at work now and not near my list) 16 unidentified talkgroups on the system and a bunch more that may have BEEN used but are long gone. Last night, for instance, listening yielded Biloxi PD training and BPD Event-1....Which are not in the DB yet.

What is an STD100/200?

There is a Biloxi PD Events 1 and Events 2 talkgroup listed in the DB, or do you mean you believe you've found 'new' talkgroups for Event 1 that hasn't been updated yet?

Sorry, I meant to say Traffic-2 and Training-1. Still pending verification as I'm not working in Harrison County until around Christmas and won't have a radio available until then.

I have my sdr setup decoding Harrison County's east site and streaming it to a Zello channel. I am also decoding Jackson County and streaming it to a separate Zello Channel

I was searching the system tonight and picked up a new-to-me talkgroup that had activity.

06-026 (790 DEC) It's going to be Acadian Ambulance Dispatch Ch 1 patched in from the Jackson County public safety system.

I'm noticing that every dispatch transmissions comes across, but sometimes some of the unit's transmissions don't seem to come across. But the traffic is Acadian servicing all of Jackson County.

i know acadian does use mdt's in their ambulances so that could be why you only hear one side sometimes. on a side note i can't believe harrison county has not upgraded to p25 yet because edacs is such an outdated system.

Outdated but it still seems to work well.
I was not happy when my old city "upgraded" from EDACS to P25II

I agree it does still work pretty well. My concern is since harris doesn't support edacs anymore it could be a problem if they have major equipment failures unless they already have spare parts available. We switched to a harris P25 phase 2 in Mobile county and I have to say it works much better than our old edacs system did.

I'm hearing Harrison County will in fact switch to MSWIN, not sure when. They think they are special or different or whatever they think they might believe but...

Be safe.
Special?
I would be more inclined to think at this point it is simply a matter of money. It costs money to switch. A lot of money.

That's interesting news, especially since they're in late-stage negotiations for an encrypted P25 system with Harris right now. It was authorized on July 22nd.

Going to cost them millions either way. Plus they still owe around 6 MIL on their current system.

I heard through the grapevine they're getting a trade-in deal that will shave some serious $$ off costs, but no details.
Probably so.
When my old city did it, our vendor (Dailey-Wells) did the same with us. We got a several million dollar trade in allowance.
