Recieved this message on Ebay in ref to my request for pictures of the scanners he is selling by the lot of 10:

"Oh ok. I am sorry. I am just tired of these a**holes on there (RR). i have taken names and started a slander lawsuit in federal court in gary indiana. I thought you were just trying to be rude and fecicious."

I purchased both of my current scanner on Ebay from a Reputable seller with no problems..

I think the word of caution should be "Don't buy any electronic equipment on Ebay from someone with the word crack in their user name!"

It's not just based on the sellers name but I personally would not purchase any electronic equipment on Ebay. But to each his own. Use good judgement.

Ebay needs to go after those scammers but they don't. May ebay have several anvils fall on them so that they would wake up and start cracking down on those scammers.

{Edit]: I apologize if my posting is harsh but when it comes to scammers, they deserve to be treated the same way and get burned. They should also raise the fine/jail time for scammers.

EBAY Purchasing

I've bought a few radios on Evil-bay before and have been very pleased with what I received. I did get burned once on a server that i wanted. I knew it was too good a deal. Lost my money and never got the server. Oh well, for the most part, just pay close attention to who you are dealing with and try to use good judgement and DON'T get caught up in stupid bidding wars. That's my experience

Just for the record, slander is a STATE matter and not a FEDERAL matter. A slander/defamation case can be tried in Federal Court, if the Court acquires juristiction based on some other FEDERAL tort. Otherwise, you can only file that on in State Court.

Oh, BTW, the absolute defense to slander is TRUTH. That would be a fun lawsuit.

I recently did a search of all Indiana with certain keywords on fleabag ebay and found nothing new to this guy. I also noticed he seems to have not sold anything in a while. I'm going to investigate his buyers now. As I have nothing better to do right.:lol:
