SDS100/SDS200: Help with programming a system

Trying to get this system into a favorites list, but when I go to the database I can not find it anywhere.


Any suggestings?

Edited to add that the site screenshot you posted says that system transmits on C4FM which may not be decoded on the SDS100.

Then I must be listening to a "ghost" system, since I can hear the Fort Worth branchof this same system.

I have no idea why that system does not show up in your area in Sentinel. But it does show up under County Systems for Tarrant County. Just append it from the database there, then whittle it down to size to only the parts that interest you.

If you are using sentinel, choose add channels on range. Then put in your zip and make sure service type military is checked along with any other service types used on the system you wish to hear..

Or like @hiegtx says, append from Tarrant County TX.

For some reason, that system is not in Sentinel in Ed's area, and in fact, it does not show on the 'trunked systems' list for Mississippi. I'm not sure if Sentinel would grab it with location & range, since the system is listed under the county level, not National.

Ok. Then like hiegtx said you should be able to find it in Tarrant County Texas. I have the Fort Worth systems programmed in my SDS 100.

Thanks Steve and all, I went to Ft Worth, found the system I wanted and appended it to my favorites list.

Wrong! System is P25 Phase-II which can be decoded just fine by the SDS100. Don't let modulation (C4FM, CQPSK, etc) throw you off here. Yes, Yaesu System Fusion uses the same modulation which cannot (at time of this posting) be decoded by Unidens. See FDMA paragraph here for a better description

For some reason, that system is not in Sentinel in Ed's area, and in fact, it does not show on the 'trunked systems' list for Mississippi. I'm not sure if Sentinel would grab it with location & range, since the system is listed under the county level, not National.

I think this is an RR Database issue, not one for Joe Bearcat or Sentinel.

When this was first discussed yesterday, the system was not listed under Ed's county, nor was it in the overall list of trunked systems for Mississippi.

However, I see that, as of today, the Gulfport & Lauderdale sites are listed under their respective counties. One of the DB Admins corrected that yesterday evening. However, the 14C system still is not listed among the list of trunked systems for the state. So there is still work to be done.

It may be under Alabama, but the original county in question, Harrison, as well as the one Dave mentioned (Lauderdale) are in Mississippi.

One of the DB admins has now linked the system to the two Mississippi counties, but it still is not listed in the statewide list of systems.

I originally suggested appending from a Texas County because I knew it was linked there.

Mississippi was missing from the system location states; I added it. Did that resolve your problem?

Thanks for making the correction.

The OP resolved the issue by appending the system from another state. Once Sentinel updates this coming week, everything should be on the correct path.

If there are no TGs, there is nothing to monitor.

Some have requested that such systems be added in ID SEARCH mode, but that
is not something that has been changed (and may or may not ever be changed)
