That one place...
Hi,

I was wondering if anybody had the most common and active frequencies the military uses in the shortwave bands?

Thank you

Your best bet is the Global Communications System freqs, with good old 11175 being the most busy.

Please, no need to bold and caps your message. It's considered bad form as it's considered shouting

ALE is a mode that many military organizations around the world are now using, and the UDXF Yahoo group is THE place to be to check out logs (along with Starchat and IRC...). To find out about what software decodes it - there's even software for the IPhone and IPad - look here...

ALE- the Signal ID wiki

The better portables - the ones with sideband capability - is really all you need to get started.
