Well it looks like the only SD card that works on my home Patrol too is the one that came with it it won't accept any of the SD cards and they're all new and I formatted them I used to Sentinel to your data and then I will loaded all the software from something along to it for the home Patrol too went to a brand new SD card and it came up take out the batteries and wait a minute mine only uses the card that's in it has anybody else had that problem

like I said if you take out the card and reinsert the card without even doing anything it will come up SD card error even with the original SD card

There's some conflicting information here. Do you have a link to the SD cards you have bought, the 2GB and 4GB? It sounds as if those other cards that are not the original are not compatible with the scanner. Get a 32GB card from a well known brand like Sandisk, Samsung, Lexar or similar. You can use the lowest class of speed you can get as that are not an issue in a scanner.

I agree with Ubbe.... there is conflicting information in your posts that makes it very difficult to understand what you are talking about. In your post #25 above, you state that the card that came with your scanner is still working:

I have used 4 GB 8 GB to GB scan this card I have used a couple other brands and they do not work the only one that works is the one that came with it that's it

but in your previous post #10, you state that the original card that came with your Home Patrol is no longer working:

When I take out the original SD card that came with my home Patrol to and try to reinsert it without doing anything just remove it and then put it back into my home Patrol too it comes up with SD error message please remove batteries for 1 minute and that's with the original card that came with the unit

Sorry for all the confusion all I'm saying is the SD card that came with my home Patrol too is the only card that works with my home Patrol too no other SD cards will work with my home Patrol too if I do take out the SD card that came with my home Patrol too and reinsert it back into my home Patrol too it quits working and comes up with it SD card error message remove batteries for 1 minute and try again and then I have a heck of a time getting it to work again

Hmmm... I wonder why others with the Home Patrol 2 aren't seeing the same issues if they're all defective?

Well the man on the phone from Uniden tech support said for me to send it back to have the SD card cartridge carrier changed because they're all defective and everybody is complaining about the same problem and there's no fix for it they all have the same SD failure take out the batteries for 1 minute and then we put back the batteries that's because of the SD cartridge carrier failure and as far as I know I'm from far as I read on these threads that I've read everybody's having the same issue and don't know how to fix it because it can't be fixed it has to be fixed by them by changing out the SD card carrier if there is a another kind of fix I wish somebody would tell me

If anybody out there has had that problem and got past it please let me know I'd appreciate anything you can help me with because if I can't get it into USB mass storage mode it cannot be programmed

It will cost some $100 with shipping to get it fixed by Uniden but before sending it away, buy a well known brand 32GB SD card and format as FAT32 using your SD card reader and then select to do Clear User Data in Sentinel (the orange icon and not the green one) and write the database and favorite files to the SD card.

When that are done select in Windows to safely remove and eject the USB card reader and try the SD card in the scanner. I assume that you have removed any charge cable and USB cable from the scanner when inserting the SD card so it will be totally powerless.
