No the SD card is only an 8 gig won't work 4 gig won't work and 2 gig won't work I get the SD card error take out the batteries and wait a minute
like I said if you take out the card and reinsert the card without even doing anything it will come up SD card error even with the original SD card
There's some conflicting information here. Do you have a link to the SD cards you have bought, the 2GB and 4GB? It sounds as if those other cards that are not the original are not compatible with the scanner. Get a 32GB card from a well known brand like Sandisk, Samsung, Lexar or similar. You can use the lowest class of speed you can get as that are not an issue in a scanner.Well it looks like the only SD card that works on my home Patrol too is the one that came with it it
I have used 4 GB 8 GB to GB scan this card I have used a couple other brands and they do not work the only one that works is the one that came with it that's it
When I take out the original SD card that came with my home Patrol to and try to reinsert it without doing anything just remove it and then put it back into my home Patrol too it comes up with SD error message please remove batteries for 1 minute and that's with the original card that came with the unit
So I now found out through the Uniden customer service representative and a tech at Uniden that all the Uniden home Patrol tools have SD Carriage problems and have to be sent back to have the SD Carriage replaced that all the home Patrol 2 have this problem and that the SD Carriage holder has to be changed out
So if anybody out there has the home Patrol 2 it needs to be sent back
