Anyone know why the Broadcastify feed in down. It's been down a few days now.
As I understand it, Huron Co is going to a standalone system. The Law enforcement side is going encrypted and can't be monitored. Fire/EMS will be monitorable. You will need to get a scanner that monitors P25 Ph 2. I am not sure how long it will be before it goes live unless it already has, but, it will help to get prepared.

It has been online for quite some time now. I can’t recall when it came online but probably more than a year ago. Maybe even closer to two. At any rate, it is online. And it does look like most of law is encrypted

If you navigate to the Huron County section of the RRDB and then click on trunked systems at the top right, you will see it there

Yes, I went to the page already, but, didn't know if it was online or not. I am curious as to whether or not the vhf side is still operating? Only reason I am asking is I plan on going that way on personal business. Thanks for responding.

So what scanner would I need for Huron County Fire, EMS, and State Patrol and ODOT? It was on the feed but I don't hear it anymore. I've also considered a pager but you would have to have it programed.

A Unication pager would work well, and you can program it yourself. There's a learning curve, but performance is stellar, and there are plenty of people here who I'm sure would be willing to help.

However, at this time you can only scan one system at a time, so you would have to decide which one you wanted to listen to more.

Isn't a lot of the groups on the Huron Co. system encrypted? Any group that's encrypted is unlistenable. You have to have a radio that does the same type encryption they're using, and you have to have the encryption key, which they won't give you.
There's whole topics about encryption in the forums somewhere...
