Sorry about my not so well worded post - I am not sure how to describe what I want!

I have both SDS200 and now a SDS100. (And I do have ProScan)

I live in Columbus and have a Favorite Quick Key #1 - Then System that is OHIO MARCS-IP - Then Departments -
For Departments I have things like Police - Fire - ODNR - EMS - ODOT - OSP (Ohio State Police) - ETC
I usually have Police, County Law, ODNR on.

Now and then I just want to listen to OSP - but do not want to have to go thru turning all the normally 'departments' off and OSP on.

I think I am missing something I understood it was not so great to have the Whoole Ohio MARCS-IP in 2 Different Favorite,s but that would let me just have one or 2 departments in it

Any pointers will help.

And I have read the Manual and the Easy Manual but still has me puzzeled

Assign quick keys. Your fav list is one. Assign each system in that list a quick key. When done, go in each system and assign quick keys to the departments.

Prepend the quick key number to the alpha tag. Makes turning off a lot of stuff a breeze

From that the only way I see to turn on say BWC is to use the .no method to select fav. Systems and depts. and that takes a bit to do. I still think I am missing something

Using number tags will also greatly improve navigating to and enabling/disabling systems, sites/departments, and channels.

You either use soft keys to hold on a system, department or channel (or site), or you use quick keys. I think you can use number tags too, although I have these assigned I don’t use them.

Depends if you want one system/dept/channel (use hold) or more than one (use quick keys).

I'd set up Number Tags too, with number tagging a channel within the OSP department as 1.

That way all you'd have to do is press the number tag sequence to "jump" to that channel. Then press Department to hold on the department, followed by pressing Channel (to release the channel hold needed to effect the "jump".) From there you would be holding on the OSP department until you release the department hold and resume full scanning.

I cannot figure out how to get to a TAG'ed Channel.
I saw this example:
-----------------
With the radio scanning your active lists and systems, press the Channel key
Enter your Number tag:
Favorites list tag.System tag.Channel tag
Then press Channel again.
-------------
But When I press Channel Hold and try to hit say .1.17 it seems like it is trying to enter a frequency

What exact key press sequence do you use to get to a TAG'ed Channel
