Once again, that same seller has posted yet another batch of PCR-100's (58 of them!), at only $50.00/ea. Note this is the bare radio, but the software is on the web, and 12VDC power packs are easy to come by.

Performance is right up there with the PCR-1000, minus SSB (Single Side Band) on HF. What the PCR-100 has over the PCR-1000 is FM Broadcast in Stereo!

He's a trusted seller, as many of us on RR have purchased from him with no problems.

Some guy bought then all to push the price up!

(Darn, I was thinking of doing that)

Looks like he's adding the missing AC adapter, serial cable, software, and antenna, then re-marketing them on eBay. Free enterprise in action!

Damn I just missed out. I would have purchased a couple of these for remote scanner setups. Oh well maybe next time.

That only works if the $50/item guy doesn't keep listing these at the discounted price. This is at LEAST the second auction of this type. Who knows how many this guy has.

Actually I think he's had three batches of these now. He keeps me posted on these so I can keep you guys posted. I should hear from him tomorrow.

I just got my two. One had no audio. I opened it up and unplugged/replugged the speaker. Now it has audio. Way cool!

yeah, computer controlled scanners. Black boxes with serial, antenna and power jacks.

Not really for the casual scanner listener who isn't willing to get white and nerdy with it, but if you want to invest the time, they can form the basis of a solid receiving setup.

Plus, for some reason the market for them is really flooded right now and they're notoriously easy to acquire. Felt bad for the guy on QRZ trying to unload his for $140, hehe.

Got one this time. I could have grabbed one for $50 but I waited too long and he sold out. Oh well, $65 is still one heck of a deal on these. It will make a perfect remote scanner and could be put into a computer closet with the router. Now what prime office location to put it in? :)

You got free shipping too! When they were going at $50.00, there was a $5.00 shipping charge, so you only paid $10.00 more for the radio. Still an excellent deal!

What kind of cables and wires do you need to purchase with these radios? I can see that nothing is included, and I am wondering what else you need, and where to get it.

AC adapter, 12VDC, 1000MA, (center pin positive), a standard DB9 serial cable with a male end at the radio.
