Mid April for deliveries.
Lets hope so. They like to dangle that carrot in front of you that is just out of your reach.
Apple likes to do that with their iPhone launches over the years….A couple of months before launch, they spread word of shortages of components, resulting in a possible delay.

My thoughts also, especially with something as complex as a R30 and the possibility of rough treatment given the nature of a handheld.
I did check in with HRO in Anaheim, nothing on today's FedEx truck. The date is close enough that the gentleman I spoke with wanted to check while I was on the line.
What portable antenna are you going to use?

I have a drawer full of antennas for handhelds (mainly Diamonds, a few Comets and MFJs) and like to experiment depending what I'm monitoring.
However, the antennas I find myself using more than any others are Antenna Sticks from:

I mainly monitor the UHF military aviation band but my default Signal Stick for just general monitoring is their dual bander (2meter/70cm) so I would probably have that one when listening to the commercial aviation RF segment.
If I want to optimize reception I like to use the SRH789 telescopic Diamond antenna and trim it for the strongest signal or experiment with my different antennas for my handhelds.

Been checking my credit card online daily to see if HRO charged my CC. Think that will pop up before the email confirmation.

Has the price been announced? HRO usually contacts you with the pricing prior to charging the card, at least that’s what they’ve done on the last three reservations I’ve made. They called me in all three instances.

Just spoke to an HRO rep re my pre-order for the IC-R15.
Was told they don't have an official price for the radio but those that have pre-ordered will be contacted before they are charged. Asked them to contact me by email when they have an official price and they made a note to do that.
Thanks, that’s a little less than I thought. Now if we can get the programming software by delivery…
It generally ships a few weeks after notification, at least that’s been my experience.
Think I might just call them and tell them to go ahead and bill and ship without contacting me unless its over $500.00. Am hoping its under $400 since the new Uniden is allot less but being Icom and how good there gear is, not holding my breath.
Hopefully $449, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s more. Shipping in May would be my guess.

With no digital, it better not. If anything, under $400 but that’s just a guess. If it is over $500, may pass on it and look at the new uniden down the road. Not sure even on that though as my 325P2 does very good on P25, DMR and anolog. Haven’t upgraded the NXDN yet as not much of that in my area. Still may do it though.
