Indiana County has a gateway to Cambria County for interoperability between those two counties. Since the ICORRS network shares resources, we have access to the same gateway, and Indiana has given us permission to use it for interoperability between us (Somerset) and Cambria. But that TGID doesn't sound right. Anything that low would be a Westmoreland County talkgroup. I'll check my list to see what that talkgroup is.

996 is either Indiana or Fayette County (I'm thinking Fayette). It's way too high for Westmoreland which stops below 500. Then you have Armstrong, and Indiana, then Fayette starts right around 1000. That's why I'm thinking it's one of theirs. It's odd it would not be on an ICORRS INTEROP TG.

Usually the gateway TGs are over 2000.

I was thinking of radio aliases, not talkgroups. That's why I believed a number that low was Westmoreland. You are correct, that is an Indiana talkgroup. It's called "32-CAM-GW1" and is used by Indiana to patch ICORRS to a Cambria conventional channel for interoperability between those two counties. Indiana recently made that same resource available to Somerset so that we can also patch ICORRS to Cambria for mutual aid calls in our county.

Talkgroups over 2000 are Intercounty talkgroups. They don't use gateways for patching to conventional systems, they're just designated for interoperability among the ICORRS counties only.

Correction: talkgroups from 2000 to 2022 are Intercounty. Talkgroups from 2028 to 2959 are indeed designated as gateways, but I'm not certain whether they're in active use.

Careful. Don't confuse my statement of "Usually the gateway TGs are over 2000." as meaning that ALL TGs over 2000 are gateways. They mean two different things.

Nothing is online yet for Lawrence, at least not the last time I checked, which was about two weeks ago.

I heard some testing yesterday and today. I have been receiving a carrier on the control channel intermittently for a few weeks, but as of yesterday I am getting a site ID. The testing I have witnessed is on talk-groups in the 1500s.

The ZoneWatch for ICORRS shows that all of Lawrence County's sites are online as of now. I'm not privy to any of the details of their deployment, so I don't know when they'll start using it, but the infrastructure equipment appears to be operating now.

I have no way to know whether Lawrence is just testing, or whether they've started to actually use their system, but I saw activity this morning on their South Police talkgroup. All of their sites appear to be active and operating.

Not likely. The only way you'd hear Lawrence County on Westmoreland's sites is if they were patched together for an incident. Since Lawrence isn't adjacent to Westmoreland, that will probably never happen

Also, Lawrence is using VHF P25 Phase 2, while the rest of ICORRS is presently using 800 MHz P25 Phase 1
