quick question... ive noticed since the rebanding of viper i have been getting spotty reception such as like losing voice and such and missing a lot of calls on the same channel that i have it held on now the question is would this be because of the tables or not? and if not what could this be im getting strong signal and such and the other question is why is viper picking up 700 MHz channels? WQTZ989 thats a license that was just issued in wake county for 700 MHz frequencies on viper.

Ahh I know I had looked over it but I didn't realise that it had pics and such. I'm a dummy I know I had looked at the first post here and it had a lot more numbers in win 500 then was on the first post here so I kinda freaked... sorry marshall

Thanks for this post! I was wondering why I could receive Wake County on my homepatrol 1 but other sites were completely silent. After entering the rebanding information listed here (identical to Wake County for other sites), I'm now receiving everything loud and clear. I think it also made my radio work faster now that its not getting tripped up by the other site.

Wake County off the air on June 3, 2014? I did the reband recently, it worked fine, but it's quiet tonight. Any idea what's going on?

I found that a control channel either changed or similar, I went back & matched up my frequencies in my scanner against those in the database & suddenly was missing one, 853.7875 which had been 853.7625, after the change it's working again.Keep in mind this was just my issue w Pro 2096's

All System Frequencies

When I load a system, particularly at home, I include all of the system frequencies. Of course, with GRE-designed radios, this does not always work when loading statewide systems.

I was once in Santa Fe, NM downtown. I had my trusty scanner with me. All of the sudden, right in front of me, a patrol unit goes by running hot. The radio was silent. I did not know that this city recently rebanded. So, I went back and loaded all of the system frequencies and it then worked fine.

I recently programmed this system for a friend who is traveling through the state. I will see if my programming worked. Sometimes, it is quite difficult to program a radio system without being familiar with the area or system.

Once again I point folks toward the miscellaneous text box at the top
of the VIPER database entry:

All of the 4 control channels are listed as well as being identified in the actual database.
As far as Wake County goes you just need to have those 4 frequencies and the rebanding tables programmed in to be good to go.

Another question though...

When I open up Freescan and look at all those Raleigh groups, there are several channels listed in the 868 range. Do I keep those, or do I delete them and keep only those 4? Would deleting these other channels provide any benefit?

This is what I did to manually program the pro 106 I use.
This erases the scanner. Power on scanner press 0 then 1 key, ent ent ent to erase scanner.
Chose new, tgrp, scan list 01, tsys, type mot 800/900 tag wake, freq ch1 853.9625, ch2 853.150, ch3 853.7875, ch4 853.5375 save,save, save scan.

You can delete any 868.xxxMhz frequencies.....especially since they are no
longer programmed into any of the Quantars

Only frequencies in use in any VIPER sites are the listed 853.xxxMhz frequencies.
If you need to catch up with me in person and I will get ya set brother.
You know where to find me
