Hi All,
I was playing around with a tigger tail for my HT. I found that the tigger tail gave me a nice enhancement for my HT up to 10 db. I have heard from others that it didn't make such a big difference. I would love to hear from others who tried this. You can see my experience in this little video.

How did you measure 10dB? I’ve seen some good useable improvement using a tiger tail but 10dB seems a bit much, that would be almost a 2 S unit improvement. I think you will typically see a 1 to 3dB improvement at the most.

I was surprised too. I went about 2 miles away and transmitted to a SDR which was connected to the spectrum analyzer software in the video. I did one more test and got similar results. By no means a comprehensive study HiHi. 73, Paul
