Does anyone know what user group is 30xxx?

It could be Franklin, Fremont, Greene, Grundy, or Guthrie. Probably not Grundy since I think they are on SARA.

Don't see anything in the Wiki for that range.

Looking at my unitrunker user ids. I have a couple in that range, no hits for most. Two do have 25 & 26 hits and the history show them on Region 5 Calling.

It should work great. I use a similar antenna.
The specs show the antenna has a type N female. These connectors can be a little finicky to make sure the center pin of the connector makes contact with the center socket of the antenna connector. Did you buy a premade cable assembly with a type N male connector on it?

This is the cable I'm using with adapters to hook to the scanner and antenna.

Any reason this antenna would not work to pick up the state system?

I have my 536 hooked up to it and can't hear the state system on it but my 996P2 on the factory antenna sitting 10 ft away will pick up the state system
You should test if the 536 works with a factory antenna in the exact same place as the 996P2, because the 536 is a better receiver. If it doesn't, you may have another issue. If the site you are monitoring is simulcast, having too much antenna is detrimental for a receiver not specifically designed for P25 simulcast. Very location dependent, including different locations within the same building - even a few feet might make a difference.

Will I am not picking up anything on the 536 ether and I have a rooftop dish-cone antenna. I have been reading all the forums and checking all the setting to see if I am doing anything wrong.

Sounds to me like you have a antenna/cable/connector problem. Grab a ohm meter and check for opens or shorts. Nothing has changed on the outside antenna?

Your county (Henry) seems to be covered by various multicast sites, so you are not be experiencing simulcast issues. You state that you can receive the system using the factory back-of-set antenna, so it seems more likely that the problem is either an improperly matched external antenna, antenna grounding, or cabling / connector issue.

I checked the cable with the adapter and without the adapter with my meter today and they showed no resistance. I havent gotten up on the roof because, well, winter.
