Today, I received two emails, both from a Ronald Anderson - one from a Netzero domain and the other from a Juno domain.

I thought our email addresses were private and not accessible from our profiles. I have nothing listed in the classifieds. Anyone else getting these strange emails?

Radio reference is the only entity you have ever given that email address too? You made it especially for radio reference membership and never ever emailed anyone else with that address or never bought anything or done anything with that address?

Of course not and I asked on other sites I belong to. I was just trying to narrow down the possibilities.

Perhaps it is best if this thread is deleted. It was not my intent to cast a shadow on RR but I can see how it would be taken that way. So, mods, please delete. And offering my apologies for this thread.

I didn't open the emails. The domains were apparent without doing so. Of course, who knows what the real domains are. Was not going to open them to find out. I highlighted them as spam and deleted.
If you are getting spam like these fake Amazon things we all get them from time to time if I have not ordered anything from Amazon or I'm not dealing with them in the last couple of days I just delete the emails without opening them and call them spam.

I'm not a betting man but I'm going to bet that radio reference is not one of the sources that you have to worry about them giving out your email as they have stated clearly in their policy they don't.

You'd be surprised some of the crap I see come in on my designated spam email. I have a three tier email setup. A very private email that I literally don't use except for family and very close friends, a business email for my clubs and boards, purchasing things, official business.

Then I have an email address that is pure spam. I use that email address when I don't want someone to have my email address but it is required to go further. I check that about every two weeks and just delete everything. I would never be contacted with anything important on that address. Well good luck, I hope your spam stays to a minimum.
