Is any x36HP owner on this thread who bought this scanner expecting to be able to use the Siren app OK with waiting until Q4, or maybe even 2015?

How does that grab you? Are you fine with that?

Is it time to grab our pitchforks yet? I haven't been part of a good angry mob in ages. It's long overdue.

Jay911, I assume you speak for AZScanner, right? Well, according to a recent post he said my presence here doesn't bother him, yet he seems extremely bent out of shape at all of these TAVERN posts. Yes, I still have to suffer through his simplistic rants when he's quoted.

The big question is: Are you fine with that?

So, why don't you just GO AWAY and continue to post about the wonderful success you are having with your scanner?

Why don't you just worry about what YOU do and not us? That will probably work far better than trying to control what we do or don't do.

Also, fake ignore doesn't work anywhere near as good as real ignore does. That "I see his rants when he's quoted, so that's how I knew what he said" line is almost as old as the internet forum itself.

Maybe you should sue them for false advertising. That way, when a judge AND jury tells you you're completely wrong, you might actually believe it. It certainly hasn't done us any good to tell you. Repeatedly.

That was the very first link that was provided when the scanners were first announced.

At the bottom of the 436 section is a line reading Available January, 2014.

At the bottom of the 536 section is a line reading Available January, 2014.

At the bottom of the Siren App section is a line reading We are still working on this exciting development, so stay tuned for more information before product release.

I can't make it any plainer than that unless we get Ernie and Bert to come in and run it by you.

It indeed says that - that Analysis Modes includes those options. One could infer that "Here is a quick rundown of the BCD436HP's major features" means "the radio will include every one of these new features right from the outset". However, I've circled the sun enough times to know that sometimes even promised features take time to come out, no matter what the size of the company, and I do not consider it a crime worthy of jail time (like some others apparently do) that component x is (temporarily) missing.

I didn't get them for the THREE HP-1s I own.

AGAIN, when I see reports form users complaining about receiver senitivity, and chnages in such after firmware upgrades, I pay attention.

THAT's the "deal breaker" for me, and I still have not seen Paul or anyone address that issue...

I nor anyone else can make it PLAIN to you that NOT ever consumer knows about RR and has seen those or ANY OTHER POSTING about the scanners.

All they have seen is POSSIBLY the video Uniden put out showing off the scanners and ALL OF THEIR FEATURES!

Has Uniden posted anything on the YouTube video remarks about it? NO. Has Uniden made another video stating they have issues with the modes yet to be working? NO.

The only outlet the have mentioned this on is this PRIVATE site. Not even in their OWN Community site have they said boo.

Please put your head in the sand and THINK of what I have said a MANY number of times!

Your argument is infallible! Oh, no, wait, I mean, the exact opposite. Post #134:

I'm a huge fan of the Analyze function on my HP1 radios and on computers via programs like Unitrunker and PRO96COM. I am mildly miffed by the fact that the x36 units shipped without functional Analyze modes. I, however, am not screaming and whining and crying all over an Internet forum about it, or virtually lighting torches and picking up pitchforks to demand that Uniden pay me back for "a feature I paid good money for" (which isn't true - I paid for the scanner, not one particular feature). I am sitting here waiting patiently for Analyze to be enabled, trying to be optimistic that the longer the code remains in test status, the better it potentially can be when it finally gets released to production. I'm not throwing a tantrum like an infant and demanding that justice be done, and making up conspiracy theories about Uniden being in collusion with RR, or accusing them of "false advertising".

Yes, but was that false advertising? I don't think so. It's not like we were promised a top-of-the-line scanner and then opened the box to find a $10 toaster. And Paul was very up front BEFORE release day about the fact that these features were not yet ready so anyone who felt that the scanner wasn't worth buying because of that had plenty of time to cancel their pre-orders and pay nothing. Same goes for the Siren app. Paul made it very clear that it was NOT going to release with the scanner as originally planned, well before anyone had their radio.

I see nothing whatsoever deceptive about anything Uniden has said or done. That kind of upfront honesty is rare in Corporate America these days. Try getting anything out of most mail-in rebate offers these days if you don't believe me. Companies offer those because they make millions from people who either forgot to send it the rebate or didn't follow each little instruction to the letter and made themselves ineligible for it. A mail in rebate is the same as a cleaning deposit on an apartment: It is Money You Will Never See Again.

You clearly have invested so much energy into singing the praises of the new Unidens that you are literally avoiding reality. You simply can't accept it.

Jay911, does the box and Uniden advertising clearly show that the Analyze app is a feature of these scanners? Of course it does. Yet here you are, claiming that MAYBE it was IMPLIED that it would be a feature.

Do you really believe what you are saying here?

How do you know what features are REALLY included and which ones are not?

When I try to "THINK of what [you] have said MANY times", or even just one time, it makes my head hurt. I can't dumb myself down to that level.

What I linked to above, where Uniden pointedly does not provide a release date for Siren, was posted on info.uniden.com. I would have thought it would be obvious by the domain "uniden.com" that that is not "THIS PRIVATE SITE!!!`!1!1one", which is "radioreference.com".

Jay - just admit it. You didn't get what you paid for. I don't care whether you "care" about the Analyze feature or not, but your money paid in part for it.

And you don't have it.
