i just checked scanner master and zip scanner so far if it was on there they removed it as fast as they can, they say they can sell a copy of the other software for it, or have them program it for you. i like programing my own scanners, anyways I'm checking bear cat ware house but I think uniden or who ever is there dealers fixed it, amazon doesn't say anything about the software it uses.

Norton has no problem with the download.
I do recall in the past trouble like that with Freescan. Apparently it was because Norton had very little exposure to the software (few download experiences).

For those only needing DMR NXDN and ANALOG NON-TRUNKING the New BCDx60DN scanners will work very good for a good price.
As stated before I will go this weekend and run it on a DMR T3 System scanning the channels Conventional and see how it works.
This test will remind the Old Timers of how we 1st scanned trunking systems with a BC8500xlt before the Radioshack 2067's come out where we were at the luck of listening but not tracking Talkgroups.

Sounds retro: The 90s are calling on that 40MHz phone...pick up!

Ice Cube - It was a good day

On a side note...our T3 DMRs around here are not busy...so should be sufficient.

I had a Pro-2067 once, and it was a nice paradigm shift in terms of the EDACS trunking our county was using at the time.

Looking forward to the results of your test this weekend.

While initially I wasn't interested in this 160DN, I am starting to get a little curious and may just pull the trigger.

My 260 arrived today, already had the uniden software downloaded and ready to upload the programming lol. For now its taking the place of my 15X as my primary analog scanner and it does that at least as well as the 15X so far.
Also updated the firmware with the VUP3 updater, but haven't been able to find an update page telling what the newer firmware adds/fixes etc. like the other Uniden scanners...
Has anyone else ran across it yet?

Just ordered the 260 from Uniden.
Here is my situation and reasoning for the purchase.
1) It will replace one of my BCT15x's in the home shack.
2) Moving a 15x to the car to use with a remote head I just bought on here RR.
3) My listening on the 260 will continue to be Air, MilAir, Marine, Misc Fed Govt Non-Trunked, Ham and DMR Repeaters.
We shall see about NXDN.

I will report back.

Picked up the 260 just to see how it performed. If this had P25 it would be the one and done for me (no trunking in my area). It's so SIMPLE and to the point. Love the bank architecture and RX LED. Audio is loud and clear. Feels solid and well built. The search function has so many options and is fully customizable. I wish the bcd325p2 had the same programming structure and was built in the BCD396xt chassis. The 325p2 and 160dn are just so cheap feeling.

Cheers.
