First post. Admin if I'm putting this in the wrong section, please move it where it needs to be.
I've been out of the hobby for a number of years but recently my interested has come back. There isn't much FM activity here so I'm getting back into DMR.
I picked up a Baofeng DM-1701 to use with a hotspot. Since I use Ubuntu as my OS, I threw Windows 10 on a spare laptop. Downloaded CPS, installed the drivers, etc.
Everything connects as it should. CPS will read the codeplug from the radio with no issues. I edit it and dump it to the radio. Everything, by appearances, is working. The radio reboots, etc. Except that the new codeplug will not be saved in the radio. I go into the radio settings and nothing I changed has saved.
I'm at a loss as to what could be the problem. Stock firmware, stock CPS software. I'm going to put OpenGD77 on it but I need to get this figured out first.
Any ideas why the codeplug isn't actually writing to the radio? Is there a "read-only" setting that I need to adjust?
