Kearny has been that way since the early Spring. According to the Deputy Police Chief Kearny Police does not want anyone listening to then which includes other Police Departments, Fire and EMS agenices.

Kearny EMS was using there old police channel 460.275 as an EMS channel but that
repeater has it's problems for over 2 months and the repeater may be ever be fixed because the town DOES NOT support the Kearny Emergency Medical Service !

Now the EMS agency uses the towns fire channels Fire 2 on the old months and fire 1 on the even months. Fire 1 502.4625 DPL 023 and Fire 2 502.7625 DPL 023.

There you have it.

If you knew anything about city government in that area you'd understand they have a LOT to hide.
