Hearing some pager testing going on this morning although the IDs are not listed.

13260 was the paging talkgroup couldn't tell what the department was
23169 saw this one key up a few days ago
24165 on here they where talking about the location the guy was in the building and if the page was received or not

Maybe Kent county will be switching sooner than expected?
I think you mean 13620 and 23165. I've been listening to them this morning but haven't been able to identify the agency. The radio id's are Kent County.

Simulcast question regarding towers. Kent County is supposed to now have 12 towers. The only site listed in the DB is Kent County Simulcast, site 47. Ada, (I think was site 15) used to be listed. It was the closest to my location so I have it programmed into my scanner as well as site 47. According to my log I receive traffic from both sites. One of the new towers (Cumberland) is only one mile from me but I cannot find any info on it. The question : Are all of the new towers using the same frequencies or does each one still have it's own control channels? According to what's in my system both sites have the same control channel but different alternates.

So your scanner will see 3/47 as one site, each tower in the Simulcast will broadcast exactly the same.

Yes they will all have the same control channel

Yesterday and today I've heard the following keying up. They all appear encrypted and none are in the RRDB.
13620, 13700, 13702, 13703, 13705, 13722, 13725, 13726, 13738, 13739, & 13749.
West Sheriff dispatch (13495) is keying up now also. Encrypted as advertised.

Kent County North Fire Dispatch appears to be using MPSCS only. I am hearing calls regularly on KC simulcast and nothing on VHF.
As for Sheriff Dispatch North, they appear to be using both simultaneously. While I am listening to them on VHF their talkgroup shows up on
simulcast but is encrypted.

While I was making that post last evening Fire North (15532) was all over simulcast along with Sparta rescue regarding a major accident at M37 and 13 mile. I was also monitoring VHF and heard nothing from the county there. The only radio id was from dispatch, nothing from Sparta.

Saw a GRFD Engine yesterday no more uhf antenna just 800mhz one. Hearing both dispatch and the machines. I work at the Ford Presidential Museum and carry my own GRPD radio along with a couple other officers. GRPD knows we have them as their is a lot of stuff that happens downtown. Guess I will have to try and talk them out of a state radio. Currently we use a Federal Protective Service frequency that does not go to a mega center only our office. We are armed and all previous law enforcement.
