Alpha tagging (and category tagging) for Kentucky's database is mostly complete... Lindsay and the web gurus added this additional functionality to the latest version of rr.com. I did Public Safety stuff and the private trunked systems with Public Safety users.... will get to the others after my eyes and fingers recover.... However, if you see stuff that doesn't look right let me know and I'll fix it.
May all of you rr.comers in Kentucky (and all over) have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year... be safe.

To all the Public Safety Employees working on Christmas

Thank You.....I have been in Emergency Services for over 22yrs now and want to thank all the people that have to work on this holiday and for keeping us safe. I am blessed to be off on Christmas to spend with my family.

May Gob bless you all and keep you safe in your travels.

Is there a way that this information (Alpha-Tagging) can be transferred to the scanner via win96? I have tried to do it and have had to type it in manually. Not complaining just checking.

Would ask Don Starr but am still waiting for an answer on my other problem.

Hi Doug.... you should be able to download it using the web import... I just tried it and instead of the alphas populating the proper field it was truncated description text... I'll post on the admin forum.....

Thats what I found as well. I manually typed in the information I needed for a trip in the afternoon today.

Thanks

UnitCharlie:

Thanks from me too.

Doug:

I don't know if there's an easier way (probably because I don't know it), what I've done is copy and paste the stuff I get from RR into either Excel or MS Word. From there I re-copy and paste into my scanner programming software. I've got Unidens, and don't know about the RS ones, however.

Take care!

Chief, that is a thought. I will try that next time.

Hope you had a good Christmas and New Years with everyone.
