today i recognized .... As for 155.415 = LCRA TG 10001
155.415/416 is the Kerrville PD conventional channel happens to be sandwiched between the Gattrs frequencies..
Yeah, its been there forever, but has always just been an unpleasant sound or buzz to scanner listeners unfortunately.

More testing tonight on SO 1-4 (46301-46304) and FIRECOM (46330) which is the paging channel. 46331 will probably be the Fire Primary once the dust settles. Encryption was used on 46303 and 46304 (SO 3/4)

Kerr County did some more testing on FireCom 46330 today with dispatch, and this afternoon most of the mobiles and portables checked in from Center Point VFD, Ingram VFD and Mountain Home VFD. 62761XX IDs are Mountain Home, 62762XX IDs are Ingram VFD, and 62767XX IDs are Center Point VFD. Seems to be about 10-12 portables per department that have ID'd so far, and of course each apparatus has its own mobile unit.

Turkey Creek VFD 62764XX IDs today, and a lot of tone testing. All testing on SO 1/2 and SO groups 46308 and 46309 had encryption enabled today.

No new activity besides more test counts and occasional short encrypted transmissions on SO 2 so far this week. There does appear to be a lot of background noise on a lot of the calls my node has been recording, currently I suspect they are on their end because entire conversations will be clear as day, but SO1 has some terrible interference quite often.

I will continue to check in on the calls node for when they go live, but I will be back out of state (Orlando) for some time at my new job. Wish me lucko_O

SO 1 and 2 are listed in the database. They use SO 2 fairly often, but they are staying on “SO 1 Star” probably in their radios as “SO1*” which is the conventional 159.135 NAC 365 for primary ops and they have referred to 46301 as “encrypted.”

This kind of leads me to believe that once they make the full time switch, the SO will be mostly encrypted, with perhaps only the dispatcher remaining clear on SO 1 only.

I'm seeing 302 active... ALOT... almost as if it's being used as main
I’m in Florida for a few weeks. Is the conventional channel 159.135 still being used or did it go quiet? I do see a lot of keys ups on calls but unsure if the volume is enough for primary ops or if it’s just info checks. Once they go dark it’s anyone’s guess.

Listened to some SO 1 audio, and it would appear that the dispatcher is putting out the calls over SO 1 in the clear, but much of the activity is on SO 2 for the individual units. Still too far away to tune in to conventional to see if maybe the dispatcher is just patching. If they can at least leave the initial calls for service in the clear that would be a small victory for real time transparency.

A select few KCSO dispatch calls are broadcast in the clear with everything else encrypted including all of the mobile units all the time.

The conventional channel 159.135 reverted to Firecom only. This morning for the first time I heard 46330 on GATRRS, a fire volunteer, but there was no response from KCSO dispatch nor anyone else.

Yeah I don’t think they’ve been actively monitoring 46330 outside of the testing mobiles days. So for 159.135 the SO has vacated the digital side all together? The analog side has remained in firecom use throughout from my monitoring up until I left town a few weeks ago.

This using the GATRRS P25 Trunk:
A select few KCSO Law Enforcement dispatch calls are broadcast in the clear with TGID 46301. Everything else encrypted including all of the LEO mobile units all the time.

Three times I have heard TGID 46330 with a mobile Fire/EMS unit. The Fire/EMS unit is in the clear.

Firecom Central 159.135:
Only fire related calls heard since Saturday. No law enforcement dispatching of any kind on 159.135 since Saturday.

This is a sad sad roll out
No more evening leo listening....

I guess Only the surrounding areas it's sounding like
Fredericksburg, Boerne, and I heard blue moon sometimes Real county...

my bcd436hp is not good listening to simulcast.
Been listening with my SDR server. And sometimes lose the control channel on the LCRA site...

Pray I can work to getting a sds100... Someday

I've heard Kerr SO in the open only during the early roll out. Think it was a bad wreck towards Medina..

The last recent i heard them open it was being patched on 301 and 302 simultaneously for a pretty low priority call 911 open line.. That was the last time I tuned in

I'm a little torn....they are still broadcasting routine calls for service, but there is no officer engagement anymore. Many jurisdictions that have gone full E don't even go as far as leaving initial dispatch clear, so that is a small victory. Kerrville is long entrenched as fully encrypted, so the locals there must be oblivious to it or don't care enough to voice their opinions. It would be nice to see some push back from the public at commissioner's court and city council meetings, but it will never rise to the level it needs to force change unfortunately. At the state level, someone could bring a bill to the floor but if L3Harris and MSI send some money Abbott's way, the political winds could shift even further away from us.
