Must be one of those dead spots during the evening ? when i go to Manhattan Ks i get some traffic, not
a lot. Same with Manhattan when i'm there. Iguess every one is behaving ?

Try listening when KU is playing K-State there in Manhatten

Any one here listen to the Leavenworth city PD Dispatch ? have you heard any traffic for the LV animal control Department # 4249 on 851.8500 or 852.0625 ? i have it programmed in my 106 & have not heard any traffic for them in some time, did they change any thing ? thanks in advanced.

These are the TG's posted in the LV Times a while back. Animal Control is 4251 by their list.

I've never heard traffic from out that way. I heard probably 3 transmissions each from KHP Troop A and JOCO SO and that's about it. And that was like three weeks ago. May be possible I had someone from that area affiliates to a nearby tower but I don't know. I am not able to mount an antenna outside due to the terms of the lease on my apartment, so I am looking for suggestions on a suitable indoor type tri-band antenna with decent gain that I might be able to suck in some more traffic.

Are mobile antennas with mag mounts in the running? that would sure open up the possibilities!

I was thinking of possibly a mag mount NMO antenna. 95% of the traffic I hear is on 800 anyway.

Douglas County. Loaded up a fav list on the ole 536, with Douglas County, and added the Olathe site in there,along with the Douglas county sites, get excellent reception here in Olathe.

Hearing a new TG on the Hutch tower not in the list... 602. It's law enforcement of some sort, I'm hearing license checks being run. I'm thinking possibly Cowley County, but I would like someone down in that neck of the woods to confirm, if possible. I'm running pro-96com to see what I can ascertain from it.

Update, there were references to a vehicle heading toward Wellington, so I would venture to think it is either Wellington PD or Sumner County SO.

I will hook the scanner to the laptop tonight when I go to work and see if i snag any new ones while I am at work. I do have the ability to record audio so I will run those programs and see what I come up with.

That is good to know. I think I found the talk group and freq information on the KSICS system for Douglas County, LPD, etc. But it only covers 4 pages.

My scanner was down for a week as I had to order a new AC adapter from Whistler. Never heard anything else from the "unknowns" but will keep a lookout

4 Sites, possibly? There's a simulcast listing, and a regular listing for Douglas County. Depending on how far away from any of the simulcast sites you live, all of which are listed here WQSA645 (KANSAS, STATE OF (DISC)) FCC Callsign Details you may need to aim your scanner toward one of those.
