TG 7045, I believe it is for the Ring Mountain Event Center inside the Joshua Springs Park and Preserve operated by Kendall County Parks Department. I have listened to several conversations about brides and wedding partys etc. Searching the RR database I found the post that mentioned the egrets on the dam. That would be inside the park and visible from the event center.

Kerr County Site??

In previous post I wrote that I did not find any CC while sitting next to the Kerr Co. EDACS site for the LCRA 700 MHZ system. Today I stopped on my way out of Kerrville in the rest area and scanned again. Found a CC on 770.7187. I programmed it into my scanner, (BCD396 XT) and continued on my way to back to Boerne. I heard regular traffic from KCSO and BPD on this "found" site.

So I guess there is a Kerr County LCRA site. Prior to leaving Kerrville, I was in the Gibsons parking lot and perfomed the same scan with no hits.

Thoughts??

Well phooey!!! I thought I had found something. Next time I search for a site I will make sure its not other sites I already have in my scanner. Never thought Luckenbach would reach there.

Thanks for the info Don.

Some agency in Kendall County was coordinating an LZ with Airlife on Ops 3(7005) which was patched through the Bexar Com(6528) channel to 155.190 DCS 445. That vhf frequency is not licensed to anyone in the area except New Braunfels Solid Waste. So anyone in the Kendall area can check out 155.190 it seems to be a strong repeater. I can pick it up here in the Selma area. Probably whatever volunteer fire department was working the scene talk channel or something.

NC5267: I have been home today and plugged in the frequency you mentioned. I did not here a peep out of it. I programmed it as a conv. chanel, also did a search and the frequency never came up. Any suggestions?? I know I did not search the 700 freq correctly in Kerr county but a conventional is a conventional yes??

I don't know which Fire Department it was out there. Most of them in Kendall County now only use VHF for back up comms and patching for Airlife or working with other agencies like FD's from Comal, Bandera etc.. Next time Airlife is patched check out the vhf frequencies see what pops up.

I heard the other day a Bus driver on 15001 ask another driver to go to "TAC 1". They started talking on 15002 so they may call the channels something other than what is on the display.

Selma Fire ground channel is patched to something at the mulch fire. Also there is an Emergency Communications trailer set up out there but couldn't see which agency it was. I don't think Selma has one. They might be patched to one of the VFIRE channels

I think Selma Fireground was patched to one of the Bexar County FD Fireground tgs. I haven't had time to do alot of listening. I think the trailer was San Antonio FDs.

Which is also Mutual Aid 1 on the Provoice system. I have recently found out the only reason we hear any traffic at all on the SAUA system is because DPS, other state agencies and the radio techs are the only ones that have permission to use it. So whatever channel any of those guys are on triggers what talk groups we hear.

That is why I don't listen to the SAUA system very often. I did run pro96com on the SAUA system to see witch tgs are patched.

Thanks

Pursuit TG's

I know Live Oak/Selma have a pursuit TG. I'm curious how that came about?? Did they have/use that on the old system they had??

The reason I ask is for the second time in a couple of months I have heard DPS and SO from Kendall County chase someone into Bexar County/San Antonio. It appears the dispatcher in Boerne calls BCSO/SAPD to inform them of the chase. When the SO/DPS get to the La Cantera area communication gets iffy.

My question is what would it take to have a "Pursuit TG" between Bexar and Kendall County created?? I understand Boerne dispatch calling Bexar/SAPD to inform them of the chase but it seems like after that the units involved should be able to use a TG to communicate.

Is this a $$$ issue?? Do they even know how to use it or want to have one?? Based on the roll call on Fridays it seems everyone can talk to/hear everyone else on these different systems.

It goes both ways, I've heard dispatch tell officers to go check on a BCSO unit that was out of touch with his dispatch.

All this money and technology and they don't seem to do any "innercity" communicating.

Admin: if is not the right area for this please move. Thank you

They had a tg called pursuit on the old Live Oak system. All of the cities that used the old Live Oak system had it in the radios. They will patch it to one of the LCRA SA interop tgs to talk to SAPD or BCSO.
