Well today I decided to for go the searching. I’ve locked on to APD-1 channel for the airport PD. Nothing more frustrating than listening to one side of a conversation followed by either dead air or gibberish. :(

Been staying om Sanibel a few days now. Lee Control's 3 dispatch channels very busy. I'm hearing no law enforcement at all. Scanner stops a lot on dead air. TG's 21186, 87 and 88 very busy too. Show as Alert-1, 2 and 3 on the list. Not sure what they are - references to Daniels Parkway. CCFD pretty active too. And lots of city services.

No sign of Sanibel PD. They've been in the clear the last couple years, but may have gone back to encryption. If SP on the list is them, no activity on those TG's.

I'll keep listening for a couple weeks and report any updates.

The control channels in the database are wrong. Can you help me out with those?

I'm actually using the ones from the database. I entered all the frequencies for all 3 sites. Seems fine.

I have a thought about the silences. (yes I know its illegal to have independent thoughts)
i found out that some scanners "silence" encryption, while others do not.
my sds200 hears them but the 536 does not. It is also possible that it might
be that the sds has the dmr upgrade and 536 does not.
what cha think?

Could some one tell me which Site would be the best to load into my scanner for LCFR.
Thanks Ed

LCSO Dispatch seems encrypted some cars are not. Airport PD Dispatch is clear units are encrypted. My findings so far.

Very discouraging seems like our scanner’s are going the way of the Dinosaur. Tired of watching ENCRY flashing on the screen and nothing. 😢

Is there any more updates for fire department talk groups?
Fire depts. are dispatched by Lee Control and fhen given a TAC channel. These are listed in the master list above. Other fire dept. TG's are for their individual use only from my understanding. Also listed in master list.

I'll be going to Lee County FL this Monday what site would I hear fire talk groups on?

I'm staying on Sanibel now. I entered all three sites from the database page, and I'm hearing all 3 Lee Control dispatch frequencies, and some TAC channels. The TG's are 21130, 21131, and 21132. Also these TG's might be duplicates: 21186, 21187, and 21188.

can someone down that way check/verify the status of the four older smartnet/analog systems that are listed for Lee County?

Lee County, Florida (FL) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference (radioreference.com)

thanks!
I'm on Sanibel, currently monitoring the original Motorola system, the old P25, and the VHF simulcast fire frequencies. So far I've only heard one VHF simulcast. Also heard TG 9840 on the original system. Looks like most everything moved to the new P25-2 system.

Also looked into Sanibel PD a little more. I emailed the Chief about the new system, but no response so far. I also found this license that refers to "backup frequencies". I've heard nothing so far on these.
