All fire & EMS along with FMPD and LCPA PD/Fire have moved to P25-2 and are encrypted. LCSO still unencrypted guessing till all reprogramming had been completed. Guess the good listening is over.
I thought we had it bad here in PA when just the PD's went encrypted. I can't believe Lee is scrambling even Fire and EMS. Wow!

4/5/22 @ 11:33am I am currently listening to all of Lee Co. The only thing that I have still hearing is Med units to Hospital in the clear. All others have gone silent. Looks like the switch over is completed. EMS Air Ops was just in the clear also. Keep you posted. Noted that 5-0 Radio app has also gone dark for Lee Co.

I think Lee County is finally in the ENC wasteland. I was down there a few weeks ago and P25 was hopping. Now absolutely nothing except a click or two. I'm not even sure they're simulcasting any fire on VHF anymore either. I can't believe they took fire down the ENC path. Lee was one of the good ones. The ENC cancer is spreading fast down here.

I can only hope that one thing happens. Coverage causes a lack of Encrypted channels as seen by a friend of mine back in Pa. That they switched back to clear usage. Getting tired of just listening to scratchy HAM channels and business as well as scratchy Aircraft channels. Been searching and trying to listen to other stuff but sure the volume of calls/traffic is lacking.

Are you sure? Should you "think" longer before posting? Are you writing about the old system being offline and you assuming they went encryption--thus passing false information? OR, did you input the new system into your radio correctly and can confirm via screen display showing "ENC" that this is fact? I don't believe the old system(s) went ENC--especially the analog one...why would they spend the time and money doing that when the new system is within sight? Oh, yah, it's Lee County. Inquiring minds want to know...asking for a friend (literally).

I submitted a records request to Lee County last night requesting frequencies, talkgroups, and encryption status for the new system...give it a few days and we'll see if they provide it or not.

Looking forward to see what they provide. My contact advise they did switch to P25-2. Some are having coverage issues. A friend of mine in Pa said some of those in his county have switched back to clear voice since they were having coverage issues with the encryption. Hope that comes to be the same here. I have been able to listen to some of Collier Co and there are some in clear EMS/FD some PD’s and they are all on P25-2. I’m taking a wait and see attitude.

Any news on Sanibel PD? They were TG 189 on the P25.

Can anyone confirm if the entire Phase 2 system is encrypted. I have been monitoring for the past month and yes the analog system has gone silent as of 2 days ago. I just purchased a Phase 2 radio and it will be here tomorrow. I just want to know if it was a waste if it is all encrypted.
I know no talk groups have been listed yet but is radio traffic heard? Cape Coral PD has been encrypted for years CC fire has always been in the clear.

you can try the temp fire simulcast at 154.325
You will hear the rest of the tone outs on 154.4300, Dispatch 2. 154.325 is Dispatch 3. Only the tone outs and Dispatch are heard on these VHF frequencies. No units.

I can generally hear Lee VHF 154.325/154.430 but I haven't anything today so far. P25 is quiet too and I can pick them up from here about 80% of the time. I haven't heard the old moto system since Monday. I'll be making another 30 min trip to the FMB next week with my SDS's and BCD325. Hopefully with updated results.
