no, no. no. this not true yet!
i got fire and ems and some
other things i'm not sure enough about t
to say anything yet.
i read that it could take a few weeks for all
the migration is done. I tried to put in the new freeks
from the rr data base. wouldn't work.
so i entered them manually.
it's not time to scream yet but i will be right
there screaming with you. LoL
in the mean time, lets find out where the cops
and sheriffs are hiding. they gotta be somewhere.

When they moved from analog t-Band to the trunk system many many moons ago Ralph Stallworth and I took two weeks to find them. We did find them then CCPD went full encr. Fire and EMS stayed in the clear. "patience grasshopper"

As far as I can tell, all Fire/EMS/Hospital analog activity has moved over to P25-2 including LCSO. I heard some traffic on the old analog site with references to "XYZ on the Legacy System" included in the conversation.

I have been monitoring the new Lee County P25-2 on my SDS100 all day yesterday and today 4/8-9/22 using Tower "Site 2" frequencies. Lots of Fire/EMS/Hospitals to monitor but sad to say looks like all LCSO is now encrypted. Just a few observations... Found Hospital Talk Groups start at 24000 +. Fire talk groups start at 21250 +, Found other Fire Dispatches at 21130 +. Interestingly, I found some SO talk groups partially encrypted yesterday starting at 20050 +. If you hold on the talk group that is not initially not audible, seems the patrol cars sometimes becomes audible but the dispatch return is garbled with encryption scrambling noise. Radio Tower Sites 1 and 3 are all quiet with no activity. Also, nothing is available on the SDS Database to download into the scanner yet either. I had to manually create the System/Department on my SDS100.

Looks like it. Some TG's are showing up in the database now as in the clear.

Anyone willing to throw in the towel this early and sell their gear, I'm willing to give you pennies on the dollar for it. I'll drive down and meet you at McDonald's. Shoot, I'm in a good mood and will buy you lunch--you can even supersize. Say $275 for that SDS100...don't forget you get lunch at Mickey D's and you can supersize!!!!!!o_O

I've not heard back on the Sunshine Records Request yet...give it a few more days.

In the meantime, read your radio's manual and set it up to for Talkgroup Search to start building a list of what's out there. If you are hearing nothing, your programming is not correct.

I plugged in my RTL SDR dongle and connected it to a really big antenna really high up and when the wind blows just right (figuratively not literally--someone will comment), I can barely get this system. There are a FEW encrypted Talkgroups, most ARE NOT...as of today. Talkgroups that start with "65" are more than likely temporary patches to the old system--based on what other systems have done during switch-overs. Source ID is the Radio ID number, nothing to do with Talkgroup ID number.

Unitrunker Svc Codes
For P25 systems:
XP - Crosspatch (analog)
1-7 - The call's priority. "4" is the default normal priority.
E - Emergency call (followed by the call's priority 1-7)
P - Encrypted call (followed by the call's priority 1-7) (also referred to as "Secure" or "Protected")

So how can I enter those in manually or the search parameters?

Read your radio's manual. Don't trust the info on RR's database--it is nowhere near complete or accurate. For example, I just found that 858.7125 is the control channel...that freq is not even listed on RR.

I'm showing:
857.7125, alt cont
828.0875, alt cont
858.4625, alt cont
858.7125, control

WACN: BEE00 (that's zero zero)
Access/NAC: AD2
Modulation: C4FM
RFSS: 1
Site Number: 2
Sysid: AD6

Attached is the Band Plan

All -

We have some submissions that are being worked for this system. Keep in mind, we get to these as we can - and as we are available with free time.

Also ...

Things are always very fluid on new systems. I would say that Lee County is especially difficult because of the sheer # of systems that they seem to have.... making transition to the new system potentially very difficult.

These things always take time (even MONTHS) to get fully sorted out.

Be patient.

Just posted some updates to the RR Db for this system. Could use some help with the abbreviations for the hospital groups --- google is only so good at this ---

keep in mind --- those of you who are using Sentinel (or another program that downloads the RR dB) --- this information input today will probably take a few days to update for download. Until then, you will have to enter it manually.

I let Unitrunker run for 2 1/2 hours...cleaned the pool, tended to the garden, had lunch. It's not hard to search, just give it time. The ones listed as "ENC" were not full time encryption (for now). We can assume the high hits are law enforcement and the single hits are tests. Since it's a weekend, there should be no Mon-Fri stuff (courts, trash, schools, maintenance, inspectors, appraisers, etc). I can't hear the other two sites.

You guys are awesome! I have been trying to get my Unication G5 to work on the new P25 II for a week, and decided to look for a forum on the subject here on RR this afternoon, and bingo! Something as simple as the incorrect site number seems to have been my issue. Thank you, and keep posting the talk groups you find. I still need Cape Coral FD tacs 1,2,3,& 4 and Lee County Fire tacs 5,6,7,& 8. Thanks again!!

Oh, is anyone using a Unication G4/5 or just scanners?
