Our team has been scrolling through both RadioReference and Google for a little over a week trying to locate the control frequencies for Quinte West/Prince Edward County east to the Frontenac region. We have located both the tower numbers we expect to be using which are 014 DEMOVL (Demorestville) and 036 KNGSTN (Kingston) and have tried to plug all the control frequencies into both SDRTrunk, and Unitrunker V2 with no luck. Has anyone located the correct control channels for the area? We have tried 142.515a and 142.620c for tower 014, and 141.735a and 143.100c for tower 036

We're looking to set up SDRTrunk, or Unitrunker V2 on a Windows operating system, but we're open to any programs that may work better for us.

Thanks so much for any input and assistance!

We have been unsuccessful on Unitrunker and SDRTrunk so
Well, SDR-Trunk you would definitely be unsuccessful with, since it doesn't work with it.

Unitrunker should be OK though. Have you gotten any systems to work on it? Are you using an antenna setup that you know can receive it?

We have attempted to use SDR# (AIRSPY) to locate the correct frequencies and we've been able to receive some radio stations in the area, as well as the 413.5375(with some slight adjustments), however we have had absolutely no luck with the control channels on Unitrunker. We have to RTL-SDR's both linked to two separate outdoor antenna's.

We've currently tried the LMRN frequencies on SDR# which located a couple of consistent waves nearby.
We've located 142.450 which is consistent and a short travel away from 142.515c (Prince Edward Control). We've also located a consistent wave on 142.440 which is closest to 142.095c (Frontenac Control)

142.450 (Warp 50), gives us static when unmuted as a signal is also informs us of the protocol MPT1327 - With OPP Chatter on 413.5375 nothing comes across for voice with the second RTL-SDR placed as the voice.

After switch to the 142.440 frequency it is the same as 142.450 however there is only a warp of -13. Still nothing but the MPT1327 protocol showing.

We will be returning to the Smartzone towers next on SDR# to try and has some sort of success.

413.5375 appears to have voice on Unitrunker with MPT1327 protocol, 0 warp. Crystal clear.

LMRN is still in the testing phase in your area so you probably won't hear anything.

142.450MHz isn't a valid channel. You would either be listening to 142.440MHz or 142.455MHz.

Good choice as that's where all the traffic currently is.

413.5375MHz is an analog channel. I'm not familiar with Unitrunker but it shouldn't be showing MPT1327. Perhaps it's a drop down that needs to be changed to P25?

I'm here a lot
413.5375 MHz would be BEAT01 for OPP and located at Quinte West or Napanee detachment areas, which ever is nearer your location.

If anyone has had any luck setting up these frequencies on Unitrunker, any assistance would be appreciated. Our team is very new to running SDR's and are making very slow progress.

I would say that Kingston is your best site choice. Try 141.735 and 143.100 again and unmute your audio to see if you're hearing anything. When Unitrunker locks on a control channel it will show up at the top with the info "Bell FleetNet etc". I will get you more info when I'm home as its been awhile since I set it up.

I doubt the FleetNet freq's have changed. You'll want to tune your squelch and warp to get your window as close to zero as you can. The RSSI is your signal strength, which if you have an external antenna should be sufficient.

If you have any info that you're willing to share that would be greatly appreciated!

I think it's something you're doing (or not), as there isn't anything special going on here... we'd probably be seeing a lot more posts if an area like Kingston suddenly lost it's FleetNet site or there was an issue with it.

I'd start from the beginning there.

If you need further support on Unitrunker, their Google Group is very good.

For sure. Later this week we could arrange a time to talk about it. In the mean time take a look on youtube. Search for Unitrunker v2 Simulcast Setup. That should give you some ideas to get the ball rolling.
