Also in Cornwall, seeing and hearing analog FM activity on 772.05625 MHz, which the database identifies as "MOH 700VR 3A SW - VR03 Mobile Repeater 3A SW". It is repeating FleetNet talkgroup 35616, Ottawa CACC, the Cornwall - SD&G EMS dispatch talkgroup on the Cornwall tower.

Has there been activity on any new TG's in the Ottawa area? I am getting back in town tomorrow and will run Unitrunker.

Ottawa CCAC is alerting the tower is going down in a few minutes. Be sure to have your cell phones at all times. This is on the Cornwall tower.

Cornwall tower is now off.
Are they using PCOM maybe?

New Toronto/Toronto Temp appears to be a high-level/wide-area site with those adjacencies.
With the Province taking over responsibility for Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner that means MTO and OPP HSD will need better VHF coverage in the Don Valley than is possible from Ronald Ave, or Mowat.
CN Tower, First Canadian or Bell Pharmacy are all good suspect locations of New/Temp Toronto IMHO.

Can't say I've ever had much issue receiving the OPP on the DVP or Gardiner while scanning mobile... Nor has it seemed to be an issue when OPP have utilized those highways before.

I was thinking about this the other day (LMRN coverage along the DVP and FGX). On the DVP, there is pretty good coverage from the Ronald Ave site from the 401 to the bottom end. There's overlapping coverage at the north end via King City, and via Niagara Falls at the south end. The FGX is well served via Ronald Ave, Niagara Falls and Whitby. There's a cell site right at the base of the DVP at the old soap factory which would likely provide fantastic coverage up the Parkway if they needed fill-in.

Building Permit listing for the site. 1970 was peak old-school microwave and coax cable transmisison.
By 1977 Bell had deployed it's first fiber route.
The first DMS-200 Class 4 was deployed in Ottawa in 1979, and it's possible that the Ronald toll building was built for that purpose.
It's not a current end-office from what I see. Perhaps never was a wire center.

So I am decoding site 1.39 but the CC is 142.1400, still some P25 clear traffic. What should my command line bandwidth be set to 15 or 6.25?

Grey-Bruce OPP Detachment transitioned to new talkgroup and new VR this morning.

First announcement:
"Attention all units, please follow the instructions you were provided to transition your mobile radio to the new Grey-Bruce Talkgroup, and your Portable to the new DVR channel. If you require assistance return to detachment."

Second announcement:
"Attention all units, follow the instructions you were provided to transition your mobile radio to the new Grey-Bruce Talkgroup, and your Portable to the new DVR channel. If you require assistance return to Detachment and someone will assist you. Failure to make this change will result in you having no Comms"
"Once transitioned, standby for instructions from the Dispatcher to complete a test call."
"BEAT systems in the Grey Bruce Detachment Area will be temporarily unavailable."

For DSD I have the BW set to 9.5. This gives the best results. I tested on marginal signals and found the 9.5 BW decoded about 40% better than 12.5 BW. With solid signals both BW function the same with 100% decode.

Noticed TG 2500 this morning patched to TG 19032 (Elgin), so more than likely that's going to be Elgin MTO enforcement. Also noticed the Grey - Bruce, Perth, and Oxford TG's were all active and encrypted as expected. Looks like there are only a few stragglers in West Region to switch over.

Brant and Haldimand moved this morning to the new system.
2500 is MTO London Operations talkgroup
I came home from work to hear the bad news. DSD+ is showing the Brant and Haldimand Talkgroups patched together as they were on FleetNet. At least there is still Burlington and Mississauga to listen to.
