For the 1st time in months I'm now getting the MTO Patrol Talkgroups on both my SDS100 and 436.

I haven't even been trying and busy with other stuff but I guess since the Charlton LMRN control channel went to 142.35 I'm hearing MTO Patrols clear enough.

Weird.

I've had LMRN on my SDS200 (Mississauga, King City and Toronto towers) for several months but I've heard nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe update the database in the scanner, as changes are happening regularly.

Same here with Charlton.. I took out the bandplan I had attempted to use and gave it a try and was able to hear the MTO Patrols.

On the Toronto 5Foxtrot talkgroup it was announced that Whitby and Pontypool towers will be unavailable for the next two hours.
Just heard that on SIM 11 as well

Dispatcher telling all units on Toronto talkgroup to switch over to " LMRN " now

Normally, I will pull in what I consider ten local towers on FleetNet. Today, that rotation flies by quickly. It is down to three: Ballinifad, Primrose and King City, the rest zoom by.
Still active: Caledon, Dufferin, Nottawasaga, Southern Georgian Bay, Orillia/Severn OPP and 17360 ,also some encrypted Investigative talkgroups are seeing some action.
Primrose seems to be a hot tower for the remaining OPP in the clear if you monitor from Toronto.
An odd one just popped up, talkgroup 39600. Calling out to OPP from test console: This is Corrections Unit Charlie 1-7-Gulf "How do you read?" This appears to be ongoing as the are calling out different Units on 39600. Of course, you don't hear the OPP response.

Okay thanks. I updated the database in June but will try again.

It's just that I'm not receiving *anything* even though it's clearly picking the towers.

I see Oxford often patched with Perth 19040. On FleetNet, Oxford was often patched with Norfolk. If it is Norfolk, it will be TG 19036. If you restart DSD it should show the patched TG when it first decodes the site.
Or just click on either of the last two entries in the Control menu...

Expect the primary CC to be moving around for a while, or at least until the remaining users transition. Once that is done, there may be a little finetuning on which CC on what site gives the best coverage without causing issues.

I have made a YouTube video about the transition from: Bell FleetNet Ontario Provincial Government to: Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN)

Where would be the best place to post it? Any ideas?

Since it is of local interest, make a new thread in the Ontario forum and attach the video there.

Changes are almost daily, a lot has happened since June
Yep, the most recent database update is Sept 1, so got it loaded now. I started seeing OPP popping up but since they're encrypted, the radio keeps on scanning.

I dunno if the question has been asked:

If encryption is so cheap and busy to install, why aren't the MTO Patrol talkgroups encrypted as well? For the tows? If not for them why don't they encrypt everything?
