Hi guys,
Yeah, these are on the new Harris system, like mjbjr said. Thanks for adding them MikeOxlong.

Hey mjbjr, yeah - so on your scanner the mapping is like this ->
"MBCSO Ch. 1" -> 100
"MBCSO Ch. 2" -> 102
"MBCSO Ch. 3" -> 103
"MBCSO Ch. 4" -> 104
"MBCSO Ch. ?" -> 106

And now that I look at it, I see I have "MBCSO Ch. 4" locked out because we thought it might be license lookups, and I don't think we're supposed to broadcast those over the online feeds. So unless you re-enabled it, you won't hear anything on Ch 4.

Honestly, at this point, it's probably fine. The channels are now listed in the database with some generic descriptions that'll work for most people. But yeah, if you have some time to sit and listen for a little while and watch the display, it wouldn't hurt to have better information. I would start with Ch. 1 - listen for a little while and see what they're talking about. I would assume this is the dispatch channel, so you'll hear calls being handed out to units. And if you keep listening long enough, presumably you'll hear people start saying things like "meet me on channel 2" or something like that. And eventually you should be able to formulate what those 4 other channels are for. Presumably one of two of the channels are just tac channels for the officers on the street. And then one or two of the channels are probably reserved for some group - say maybe detectives, or meter readers, or the court house, etc.. Take a look at the old system and it's old police talkgroups - that will give you an idea of what the new setup was probably based on and some of the possibilities for the the channels...

If you look at it, they had all sorts of channels - Precinct 1, 2 3, and 4, Detectives, Narcotics, SWAT, NCIC, towing company, event 1, event 2, etc, etc.. And a whole bunch of other services we haven't found yet - like EMA. So, I'm just saying, there's a lot of possibilities.

Ok, they've been added. Grab your favourite software and download them (unless you're using Sentinel then you'll have to wait until Monday).
Ahhhh.... that's why they're not in the latest database! I'm using Sentinel so I'll look for it late Monday.
Thanks for that!

Hopefully somebody will come up with proper descriptions for those talkgroups and submit them.

I'm now picking up the Sheriff's Office in Bibb County with my Uniden 436 and programming with the Sentinel software. Hopefully they won't make another change soon!

Try moving the radio to a different location (several inches or feet) and see if it's any better (seriously).

Describe what you mean but "breaks up"? Garbled? Or periodic interrupted transmissions on a regular basis....

Garbled/gibberish occasionally sound more like digital simulcast issues. If you're noticing regular intervals of brief dropout, it could be some type of close call or (weather? or other) priority is enabled.

@Charles I dont think license look ups are against TOS. I believe I asked this once to the sum of why is a license lookup legal but a patients vitals from inside an ambulance is.

And EMA,they only use a SD frequency thats set on an events channel. You typically only here stuff about parking and directing traffic stuff.

Example they work on Event channel 1d . this way we can talk to So who are working this event and stay off the main channels for the SO to work regualr everyday stuff on.
