I don't know for certain, but I have some notes from the last time I went through (several years ago) indicating they're operating a DMR Capacity+ system in UHF band. I don't know color code, talkgroup or slot information.

Program the frequencies just like Pal 800, except for 900 MHz P25 Phase 2, use the database to find the nearest tower to you and input the control frequencies or all the frequencies listed. Compare the frequencies to the ones on Antenna Search, www.antennasearch.com , sometimes AS will have frequencies that RR doesn't have and vice/versa. I receive Santee Cooper and Aiken Electric from a 900 MHz tower in Trenton, SC. I use the ID search function 'cause I like to hear new TGs that don't show up using ID scan (plus, I'm lazy and don't like to input TGs, lol). Sometimes, one gets lucky and may have two or three towers within their range, so check carefully.

So we're clear, Santee Cooper and Santee Electric are two very different things.

But they likely to share a radio system, in this case, the one called SC Public Service Authority. SC Public Service Authority Trunking System, Various, South Carolina - Scanner Frequencies I have never monitored Santee Electric specifically, so I can't guarantee they still use this system, or that the talkgroups shown are accurate. But there's a good chance this information is correct.

There's also no guarantee that the site close to you carries the Santee Electric talkgroups, but again, there's a good chance that it does if the site is in their service area.

AB4BF is exactly correct - the system is exactly like Palmetto 800 in terms of programming. Select your site and talkgroup group to add to your favorites list. AB4BF offers good advice - scan in ID Search mode to ensure that talkgroups other than those listed in the database aren't in use.
