Rhino Demo does not have their own frequency. They monitor air boss, and occasionally use show discrete for PA callouts during the high speed pass.

Heard them on Great Lakes App/Dep east 121.200 and AZO tower 118.300. Support C-17 was spotted yesterday by local folks, but I didn’t catch any traffic.

That's funny. I get cat naps here & there. I sleep on the floor downstairs when I don't feel like climbing those damn stairs to the attic to my room where the radio's are. I do get some sleep, but probably not enough sometimes. It probably doesn't help that I take care of my elderly mother also.

Chuck.
You're a good Son, Chuck. Thanks for all you do. (great posts included!).

Thanks. I'm trying to do my best. Some days are frustrating & others are ok.

I really enjoy listening to Milair. I'm a wannabe fighter pilot. 🤓 My first Milair scanner was the PRO-2004, that I bought in 1988. That was a good scanner. I still have it, but it doesn't work. It was all downhill from there. Now it's 8 various base model scanners, & a couple hand-held scanners. Thanks again.

From Iosco County:

**Update**

**The U.S. Coast Guard and area water rescue teams were called due to the fact we didn’t know if it was a full plane or possible pilot ejection that were in the water. After confirming the flight details and no plane or pilots were in the water. The U.S. Coast Guard recovered a partial suspected fuel tank from Lake Huron. Divers were never deployed but were available on the water depending on what was found during the search.

Oscoda Airport advised they received a distress call from a military aircraft identified as “Buzz 11” declaring an emergency. After the original call Oscoda airport advised they did not have a plane arrive in Oscoda and also did not hear any other calls or know of the outcome of the planes that made the distress call. **

At 1315 hrs the Iosco County Central Dispatch received a call of an explosion in the area of Baldwin Resort Road near Lake Huron. Iosco County Sheriffs Office Deputies along with Michigan State Police Troopers, U.S. Coast Guard, Tawas City Police Department, East Tawas Police Department, East Tawas Fire Department, Tawas City dive team and Oscoda Township rescue dive teams were dispatched to the area.

Initial investigation determined two F-16’s from the 180th Fighter Squadron from the Toledo, Ohio Air National Guard were operating in the area. One of those F-16’s declared an emergency and dumped two external fuel tanks full of jet fuel. One of those tanks landed north of Baldwin Resort Road in Lake Huron and exploded. The second landed in the Baldwin plaza parking lot which houses Tractor Supply, Sav-a-lot and the MI SOS. No injuries on the ground and only minor damage to a few vehicles. It was reported that both F-16’s landed safely in Toledo, Ohio.

Please stay clear of the area as containment and cleanup are under way with more Air National Guard units enroute from Ohio.

Thank you

I'm at DTW, there are two KC-135s parked on the ramp, across the access drive from the Evans terminal. I wasn't able to get a pic, but the paint schemes are different from anything I've seen.

Anyone have ideas on who they belong to?

On Wednesday, August 7, Vice President will fly to Detroit, MI, spending the night before a campaign event on Thursday, August 8. She then heads to KRDU.

This is the third stop on a seven city tour to introduce her new selection for a running mate, which starts Tuesday in Philadelphia, then Eau Claire Wisconsin, Detroit (RON), Raleigh/Durham North Carolina, Savannah Georgia (RON), Phoenix AZ (RON) and finally Las Vegas Nevada.

Michigan Air National Guard, 58-0129 and 60-0345 were here as of 1830L on 8/4. They usually have 3 staged here with the other ones up in K.I. Sawyer/Marquette due to runway/taxiway work being done at Selfridge. Their runway will be shut until October 8th so don't expect these KC-135's to be leaving anytime soon, besides their normal missions in the MOA's supporting Northern Lightning and Northern Strike which are going on at this time.

Also hearing some traffic on 346.525 AR640 Phoenix. Could of swore I heard "WOLVERINE 11" get mentioned, but unsure who lays claim to that callsign. Henney callsign list doesn't have anything logical to fit.

I'm sure we'll hear lots of strange new callsigns for the exercise.

I had forgotten about the runway work.
Thanks!
