I heard that too Chuck, seemed to be a helo talking to the STINGRAY flight & BLIMP, I'd call that one an A/A Common for the game. STINGRAY flight was also on 130.650 talking to what seemed like the BLIMP.

I monitor a lot of Michigan game flyovers and I can't remember a more busy airspace than what we had today.

By the way, 3NA Goodyear Blimp was using 151.505 NFM (151.4 PL) to coordinate with the ground/program director.

That's an old F-4 travel callsign, when they had an alert detachment at Seymour Johnson AFB. Also used by the F-16's for CAP duty.



The STINGRAY flight departed YIP around 14:40Z (10:40am) today.

RCH 4140 (C-17A 99-0062) going to Flint Airport for VP visit tomorrow. Also visiting the Detroit area tomorrow also. I saw a RCH flight go to Metro Airport yesterday.

I just pulled tape (errrr... MP3s) and caught this guy as well. He had a strange emPHASis on the wrong syLAbles.

I was listening to 151.505 also, but I don't think it was Goodyear. I'm still hearing someone using that freq. I'm not sure who they are? I finally got a PL of 114.8. They don't talk alot so it's kinda hard to figure out who they are.

10/10/24: 338.950-COMBAT CIDER: TACAMO data carrier, possibly from E6 AKORI57, flying north of Dayton OH right now. Used to hear digital data with these, now rarely heard and usually only a dead carrier on the center frequency.

That freq is a common itinerant freq, so a lot of construction crews and stuff are on there. I've even heard the blimp complain about hearing stuff on there before.
