Why? It is a work in progress and works fine, the refinements will happen, he is always improving the firmware.

Thank you Kevin, I am loving mine and a good piece of hardware cheaper than any scanner you can buy with the tech in it.

He’s not banned.
More gaslighting. When did you lift the ban Kevin? Where is my other thread explaining why I was unable to post here yesterday and today? I suppose you will tell everyone you have no idea what I'm talking about.

You were never banned from the site. A reply ban to this thread was in place which I lifted.

As I said in my message to you when I deleted your other thread, Kevin has admitted that the issue was his and your device was not to blame so let's put that behind us.

It never was about him blaming the device. It is the emails I receive compared to what gets posted here. Moving on..

Oh heck, I was hoping it would not return 🤦🏼‍♂️ I am running 11.28.01 and I saw NAC changed again. So, your idea of adding a config option to lock the correct NAC value per site is want would be needed. It’s something to put on your to do list 🙃👍
As you already know from direct email, I implemented this feature in firmware 11-30-01 (TESTING). I'm glad you brought it up. This is a good feature to have. It works per-site. If you enable LOCK_NAC on a [SITE] section that has a NAC value of zero, the lock will be overridden until it is non-zero.

2022-11-30-01 Update both MicroP25RX and Wio firmware. There is a new LOCK_NAC option in the BACKUP/RESTORE. The value must be manually changed in the backup file. After updating the firmware, create a new backup. Edit the LOCK_NAC value to be 1 for all sites that have a valid NAC value. This will prevent any updates to the NAC. This can help improve P2 decodes in low SNR environments and also prevent the device from entering "LEARN MODE" due to an invalid NAC change.

Not that anyone probably cares, but I was curious what the current draw was without the Wio display turned on. It’s around 410 mA, with it on I measured exactly the same as what the manual shows (580 mA).

So using a 10 amp power core during a power outage if you had the display off you could go 24 hours.

I took @btt 's advice and ordered the speaker that Todd had tested and said worked good for the MicroP25RX. I finally got mine today and I have to say, it works fantastic! It's a compact, portable speaker that has it's own power and comes with a charging cable and it has awesome bass, very loud and clear and quite honestly, fits the case quite nicely! It's built solid and has a black rubberish case around it. I had to turn the speaker facing backwards as to not obstruct the power jack of the MicroP25RX, but this does not detract from the audio in any way. For $13.71 including shipping, it's a steal and a perfect companion to the MicroP25RX! The speaker came pre-charged out of the box and I've not charged it yet, so I'm not sure how long the battery will last between charges when using the speaker.. I'll find that out soon enough..

Here is the link to the exact speaker I got: Mini Portable Speaker 3W Mobile Phone Speaker Line-in Speaker Built 350mAh USA | eBay

I haven't tested anything larger than 32G. It should work with cards up to 2TB. It reportedly works with 1TB cards.

What would be the lowest size SD card that can be used and could this be added to manual

I am literally running it with a 256MB (yes you read that correctly - megabyte) card (which is still overkill) and works perfect. The only thing stored on this card is config backup / restore files, and if you want to add the zip code .csv file which is about 40MB.
