Odd callsign heard here but not too surprising..

2220z "CanForce 147" Chinook CH-147F for Canada Mil landing KILG and taxiing to Boeing hangar.
Assembled up the road at Boeing plant in Phila and sometimes do test runs to KILG.
No missing that unique engine whine in radio transmissions.. :)

Thanks for confirming that. I had them on 290.300 at 1803Z
I wondered why there wasn't much conversation going on.
BLUE26 called in to PACK Control (323.800) at 1807z for a quick gas-n-go.

Interesting! The group from the other day passed south of NS didn't they? Shame if that's the plan since it's supposed to be sunny tomorrow I think here.

We had AE07D0/89-1192 as Reach 698 as a guest for 3 hours or so here last night due to an emergency.
Paper said it was a fuel emergency, but I'm not sure whether that's the case. With fuel states being obviously a big part of flight planning,I'm guessing a fuel emergency would mean either a faulty indication of low gas or a meetup with a tanker didn't happen. Does anyone know any details on this, or if any Bangor or Pease tankers had a mission scrubbed last night?

The plane was a C-17 on route from Germany to Gander. The weather was bad enough in Gander that he couldn't land and was rerouted to Halifax.
The pilot declared an emergency due to lack of fuel about 30 minutes outside of Halifax.
Enfield fire was dispatched to the airport as a precaution.
The emergency was called off and fire was told to stand down when the pilot knew he could land safely.
I have a short video of the C-17 after landing as he was parking.

You guys are welcome :)

I don't know if it was my video or not. Was it a video being taken through a fence of the C-17 turning?

I did send the video to CBC and was on the phone with them before and after I got to the airport.

Nope. Different one. Emergency was 89-1192, that's 94-0066 as Reach 745. Not sure why they were here but it was a less dramatic entrance and they've since left
