Looking at the oldest ZNY chart I could find from 2005 and it showed 127.175 as the East Texas Sector, RCAG at Matawan. Sometime prior to this I seem to recall the Kennedy Sector 125.325 handled the area the East Texas Sector covers now before it existed.

I've been told that 125.850 is a TRACON frequency that can be delegated to the Center, with the RCAG at EWR. Looking at some of my old notes from years ago and I have 125.850 listed as a TRACON spare frequency. I've never seen it listed in any official documents though. I've contacted Dave over at LiveATC and asked him if maybe it could be added to their EWR feed so we can check it out.
In my 2002 NOV IFR SUPPLEMENT NEW YORK CENTER: MATAWAN: d125.325 127.175 d282.3 350.3

Reminder - Tinker Airshow live now at

Saw parts of this show on the feed down on my big TV and was decent.
Seems cam guys never have quite the right gear and practice for shows like this..its not easy for sure.
Also local wifi feed freeze ups as well... Will check in again tomorrow and Thanks for reminder.
Big crowd at about 90k folks.

Not much flying here today had TRIDENT-25 E-3 #79-0001 15:48 local departing McGuire trying signal check on
McGuire Torch Control 251.200 no joy.
Trident-25 now dodging various wx cells westbound towards Tinker.

WALDO-21 KC-46 #20-46072 making its way back to McGuire from Elmendorf.

1749 local Airliner on 121.500 with arrival welcome message saying sorry about bumps and flight attendants
prepare for landing.. A few pilots let him know .. LOL

MNLYT 11 and MNLYT 13 (MOONLIGHT/VMM-764 *according to Ron’s list*) heading to Fort Drum (KGTB) after a stop at Indianapolis Regional Airport (KMQJ) but originally from MCAS Miramar (KNKX).
Heard 11 calling 13 on 357.475. Referred to it as “21” - most VMM squadrons have their squadron tac on that preset, so it checks out.

1915z 269.400 COWBOY 11 flight VFR down the coast RTB, Pease.

That's it. All caught up. Had the radios on all day today hoping to catch the COWBOY flight to snag some A-A freqs but NOTHING happened all day in this rain! :-( If anyone has some VMFA-112 freqs to share that would be great. I'll keep the SDR running in case they come up through my area again. My "guess" would be they came up for training/work with the Navy's SARE facility in Rangeley, ME which happens to be right under Condor MOA. Just a WAG.

Ed, I picked up the Belgian Air Force F-16s returning to Kleine Brogel as BAF311 and BAF411 flight,
and got some nice air-to-air comms on <305.675> and <311.875>. Boom frequency was 251.200.

I see the Bengals of VMFA-224 Beaufort SC are soon to be an F-35B squadron..
I guess in a new logo they will get rid of the AW (All Weather) letters.
