The E-3 up top just took off from Eielson a half hour ago.
Alaska State Troopers H125 N911NT is patrolling the Elmendorf perimeter.
This seems to be the actual Russian presidential aircraft Putin is on, just popped up.

Monitoring Elmendorf tower they mentioned possible three aircraft trailing the inbound aircraft.....update 4 aircraft trailing the VIP inbound

At ~1440 EDT, on Liveatc.net, Elmendorf Tower reported there were possible 3 aircraft in trail of the Il-96 with Putin but not confirmed. Tower was providing a couple of airborne helos nearby, ICY82 (H60) and "Huntsman", likely Alaska State Trooper A550, which are on CAP

Sounds like the Russians are going to do a fly-over of some sort.
Yes exactly - the HUNTSMAN aircraft is hiding in the hills out of view - interesting activity to not be spotted

The tower controller seemed unsure of the identity and type of the trail aircraft. I would like to think it is the good guys sending a message.
If it is a B2 that would be sending a message...Hey Vlad, we can redesign the Kremlin for you just like we did for Iranian nuclear facilities.
B2 and either F22 or F35 in the flyover (did not see the actual type)
Now a second IL-96, "RSD771", RA-96025, inbound Anchorage. Putin's aircraft was RA-96024.
