They use a lot of charter Boeing 737s as well from other carriers. One of my old customers did a lot of work for them. Probably still do (I need to check the locations)...

Yep still have the contract !!

As far as I know, it depends who they are transporting, federal/contract prisoners usually fly out of the OKC hub on one of four jets (was five but 5th hasn't flown in a while). Federal prisoner/contract planes are N279AD, N311MS, N639CS, N640CS, N738A, and they make a round trip Monday-Friday (when flying) from/to OKC.

They may use the planes you mentioned for immigration and deportation.

Yeah obviously the charter carriers only used for immigration and deportations. I get JPATS confused with US Marshal Service operations

Never remember having any spare wheels or brakes stored at Oklahoma City. Each aircraft carries a fly away kit so rarely had to send parts to Harrisburg either. Used to be an MD80 operator that had similar contract....will try to remember their name.

Harrisburg is one of their selected transportation sites for illegals being returned.
Assume half of these pax customers will be back in US within a year? :(

Tank that truck story all over Fox news website with pics.. Possible terrorist or just psycho out for joyride.

Later identified as the balloon the child lost at the circus this afternoon o_O
:ROFLMAO:
On a slightly, ( but just slightly) more serious note, there are a LOT of weather balloons sent up, even hobby APRS transmitters can be modified so that amateurs can get GPS altitude readings when over 80,000 feet. (look at Byonics Byonics - GPSs for GPS5, and GPS5HA)

It seems like a boy scout / science project level exercise to launch model rockets and weather balloons.

The most likely two things to happen that will make lots of sense are.

1. Make sure everyone understands the rules about sending up balloons.
2. Put optical trackers / medium power lasers on pods (external fuel tank size ) that can take out the relativly cheap balloons without using very expensive missiles.

On a less serious note... Something I came across a while ago, and I've been trying to find the popular science / popular mechanics advertisements for the black cylindrical balloons. but I couldn't find the advertisements.

Thanks
Joel

The Typhoons - or at least one of them - and the Airbus escort have just taken off from Las Vegas bound for Dover. I'm surprised the Typhoon is tracking in ADS-B.

RAF Typhoons show up quite often if you ever look overseas. They even show up on Flightradar. A few days ago I saw a British RC-135 being escorted through the Black Sea toward Turkey by 2 Typhoons which were showing up on radar

By the way, Flightradar has them (both tankers) listed as going to Dover with an arrival time of 3 and a half hours from now if you want to try to get pictures perhaps. Too bad it’ll be pretty dark by then in all likelihood…
