On Friday, there will be an Armed Forces Farewell Tribute in honor of General Mark A. Milley, 20th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and an Armed Forces Hail in honor of General Charles Q. Brown, Jr., the 21st Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. POTUS scheduled to attend, wondering if there will be a flyover for it? Sure there will be military VIPs flying in for the ceremony.

There were reports a low flying (and loud) military jet over Chester County, PA on Friday. It turns out it was an Navy F/A-18 that did a loop over the area before landing at the FBO at Harrisburg International Airport MDT. TIS-B track of it here.

Callsign was UGLY 11. (not on Ron's list). NG tailcode and callsign seems to be VFA-151 out of NAS Lemoore.
Used to have a lot of UGLY flights up till 2007 when the Pa ANG 111th FW had A-10B's stationed
at Willow Grove NAS.BRAC put end though to Willow Grove and the A-10's were dispersed.
FLYER was another one of their callsigns for Phila Flyers hockey team :)

since it's a very slow milair day, a little musing.

I see a C-12 callsign Habu 57 just north of Pittsburg. In the Early-mid 1960, when I was in USAF, the callsign Habu (means snake in Japanese) was used by a sqdn of RF-101s based in Okinawa that used to TDY to Osan AB Korea (where I was). From there they would fly photorecon flights along the DMZ (and sometimes north of that ;)). Was fun listening to the North Korean Mig-15s & 17s try to intercept them.

Saw bit replay flyover on ESPN at start of second quarter at Texas A+M game.. Single white P-8A not the
most spectacular flyover aircraft. LOL
That India AF C-17 Westbound thru Canada now maybe enroute Alaska? At least with the current political riff of India and Canada the Mil staying out of it.

PENNY96 received a IFR clearance to KIAB after the flyover. McConnell Air Force Base

going to guess a KC46
Still flying fairly low at 17k and 280 knots Westbound.. More like a HC-130J type?

Pax River P-8A flyover down in Texas for Aggies game.. Note the unique P-8A raked wing tips.
