Just had an AH-64 Apache fly over very low at 12:40pm EDT - not showing on ADS-B. Couldn't get out onto the deck in time to get much more than this. It was really moving!

They will not show up under the military filter on ADSB, but most of the time they will still ping as an unidentified signal. I tried to attach a screenshot of it on ADSB, but the file is too large. Looks like it came out of Quantico and now heading towards McGuire. Apaches usually appear as the generic plane outline that ADSB uses for unfamiliar signals, like the two orange ones that like to linger off the NJ shoreline.

I was expecting/hoping for a fastmover flyover. The AH-1Zs flew a different route which wasn't ideal for viewing from Gravelly Point. They came up through Pentagon City. The few photos I took are garbage, the camera wouldn't focus. The sky was about the same color gray as the helicopters.

Yes, I know the outlines you're referring to. And I should point out that I thought at first it was an Apache, but after comparing landing gear realized it was a Viper. I corrected the ID in the original post. Thanks again!

1255- Couple of ftrs (no calls noted) working on 260.9. Same guys working ZNY Big Flat (270.3 & 322.4). Can't catch their callsigns.

1300- Busy pattern right now at ADW. VC-25 # 92-9000 (Venus 02), C-32 # 99-0003 (Venus 31) & KC-135 (DeeCee 22) all workinbg ADW tower (118.4)
Cosmic-01 flight of two was up practicing intercepts maybe up in Pa? Did rtb A/C.

C-5B flashback.. I remember back in 90's Dover did a C-5B demo and did all kinds of hard bank turns
etc before coming into land and stop show center.Crew hop out and start pulling pins and C-5 wheels retract lowering the plane
and Army/USAF loadmasters come of the ramp after about 10 minutes and out rolls a M-1 Abrams tank running on down the runway.
You know that Tank was chained down good after all those serious banking maneuvers :)

Italian Air Force today (Apr 9th)

Captured on recordings the F-35 flight taking off from Pease heading to Alaska.

1645z 292.450 IAM 1424 and F-35s meeting up sounded like a boom freq.
1647z 276.125 Sounded like tanker talking. Possible A-A with IAM 1425?
1652z 277.975 Definitely F-35 A-A in Italian of coarse!

Here's a playback screen shot of the flight:

Seems some online news conspiracy folks on those Philly 10th Mountain Division choppers over the weekend.
Some nice pics and seems the true story finally got out.. scroll down a bit for lots of cool pics.
Some folks miss the whole point. Dod wants these mil movements seen.. No big secret.
They want folks overseas knowing we are coming and we are already there.. Some people watch too many movies ..

National Nuclear Safety Administration B350 ENRGY16 N2316 • Beechcraft King Air 350 just departed ADW headed to GSP, scheduled to return to ADW at 5pm.
Little back history on ENERGY.

They used to use callsign WAMO ##. WAMO stood for Washington Area Meteorological Office, coverterm for Dept of Energy Det at ADW. Their mission is to fly over/around nuclear powerplants and look for any leaks. I see them frequently down in Southern MD around the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.

An interesting thing with all 3 of these freqs was that my database showed no other entries for them. Noticed this some with a few other visitors. Have been wondering if we're hearing these foreign a/c on their usual (home) freqs, or does NATO have certain ones allocated for transcontinental use, or...does the US military have certain freqs reserved for use by foreign aircraft while operating here.

Have always wondered what degree of freq coordination--or lack thereof--exists in this band.
