Fyi --

Got to agree with this article. We keep the B-52's going cause they can carry massive ordinance.
The F-15Ex is same deal for fighter missile bombers... When the door is kicked in bring in the heavy missile/bomb gear. :)

HIVE-42 McGuire C-17 #00-0175 working Dover approach and says on control 132.425 will move on up to AR-777
after this.. PIONEER-66 Pax River P-8 also doing the same approaches at Dover picking up ILS etc on tower 126.350

Found one MD ANG A-10 getting Sun down in Florida on static/demo? display..
Probably MD A-10's scattered around till Martin State gets runway completed.
Ohio F-16 and seems Tyndall sent over some QF-16's for work aka target birds.
Mig-29 also N29UB.
At the 9:48 mark (roughly), an E-9 was shown.... had to look it up, apparently the radar on the side can see a person in a life-raft from 25 miles away..., kind of wondering if the coast guards C-130's could get the same thing.... seems like it would save a lot of time for the coast guard.

Has anyone seen one around the mid-atlantic actually used for S&R. ?

E-9A

Thanks
Joel

Last night had something sounded like POCO-11 flight of 2 to the Northeast 2150 local.
Then at 0150local/0550z another flight of two to Northeast on uniform but couldn't make out callsign.
There were a couple KC-135 from MacDill that came as far as North Carolina then turned back to MacDill
and two KC-135 tankers up this way EIDER-11,12 dragged up thru Nova Scotia.
Then at 0620z two KC-46's EIDER-21,22 launched from Pease and went Northeast at FL31k.

Whole bunch of bombers up today for STRATCOM and Global Penis Waving.
Suspect your EIDER are for the the B2s and B52s (STRATCOM). Current ALTRV doesn't have them coming all the way across the pond.

The B1s on GP supported by 4 (LAGER60 and LAGER70 flights - maybe 5 as there's a LAGER72, ) KC-135s from Mildenhall. 60/61 went off towards Africa and 70 flight filed to Ascension.

Eider 21 flight now returning over NS at 11:20z

B2s PELICA?11 flt met up with EIDER11/EIDER12 over Nova Scotia around 0300z. There was a NOTAM in place over the North Atlantic FL230-250 part of the SKYMASTER exercise.
