94-7321 was originally from 302 AW, 731 AS at Peterson SFB, CO. (AFRES).
The last 4 that we got (94-7321, 94-7322, 94-7323, 94-7324) at the 302 AW are all scattered about now. Most went to ANG Units.
94-7323 and 94-7324 are up here in MT with the MTANG in Great Falls.

Question? Is the 302AW now primarily a MAFFS fire fighting squadron?
Don't see or hear them often flying missions out this way like the old days.
Used to hear them using the old SUMMIT callsign.

Post of mine here from back in July 2006 before APRS days.
SUMMIT 14 C-130 from 731 AS/302 AW PETERSON AFB CO arriving Willow Grove
with base ops "Shortstop" on 351.750,1800z arrival.

I'm sure you have seen here the Colorado140th Wg F-16's are busy out this way doing Norad CAP work :)
Their Langley deployment should wind up at the end of June.

The 302 AW was originally the 901 TAG, with 8 C-130B’s. In April of 1985 was expanded and went to 302 TAW with total of 16 C-130B’s. I was full time ART (Air Reserve Technician) hired when they expanded. We had “B” models until about 1991 when we started picking up C-130E models from different AFRES units. My “E” model came from Selfridge AFB, a 1962 model.
In 1993 we got new C-130H-3 right off the factory floor at Lockheed In Marietta, Georgia. A tremendous upgrade, better engines, air conditionin/pressurization, apu, upgraded avionics, communications. Ours were ’93, ‘94, ’95 models.
Each year was different in different aspects, I.E. lighting, instrumentation, etc. Over the years the unit was downgraded to 8 aircraft. The ‘93 models were sent to ANG units Wyoming and Nevada. ’ 95 to MT, CT, DE.
Looks like the unit kept all of the ’94 series as they were all the same as far as lighting, instrumentation.
They are the only AFRES MAFFS unit the other 3 are ANG. MAFFS designation of MAFFS 2 and 5!

Couple of questions for the Tidewater area guys.

#1. Have you guys heard the 149th FS VA ANG guys (Bash, Slam, T-bolt) active lately? It's been awhile since I've heard them.

#2. Does the 149th have F-22s of their own or do they "borrow" acft from the active duty sqdns?

#3. Any discrete A2A or Ops freqs for the 149th?

Big NASA launch in a few minutes..Maybe..

Update scrubbed at 4 min to launch for 24 hours.. This rocket sure has had bad luck.
Boeing has had a lot of bad luck for the past number of years, maybe luck has nothing to do with it but this launch has to go off perfectly.

If they have to wait for that to happen well.. I'm looking forward to it.

I've monitored 142.6 262.025 285.15 289.3 & 291.6 and have not heard any traffic recently. 289.3 I have listed as "ops" with the rest being air-air.

NICE-42 #58-0106 117ARW Alabama ANG tanker on station with PPR thru Dover CP 349.400 to private number of crew chief.
Will be on station longer for 2 more hours... Our Satcom is not working.
Seems like NICE42 was off tracking sites for the duration of the flight. At 16:42 local, KC-135 NICE?? (63-8887) arrived in the CAP from MacDill @FL220, lower than the common FL260 clearance. ADSB has no record of NICE42 on the way back to base. By 20:30 local, 63-8887 was on the way to Pease.

0940- ADS-B showing T-38 Mafia 67 (# 67-14860 ADFF79) off Langley. Callsign and number doesn't match 7th FTS acft. Must be visitor heading home. I don't have Mafia as a T-38 callsign.

1010- Trek 01 (C-130 DE ANG) calling Langley CP (251.25).
Seen Mafia before on mode s but never around here.. Seem to belong to the 14 TW/50th FTS at Columbus AFB in Miss.
Also callsign used by their T-6A trainers as well... CB are their tail code letters.
The 50th FTS logo..
