Monitoring comms / scanning / searching. Rene's been at it for years.
The tankers discussed the frequencies before departure..
Yeah a few of us old timers the old fashioned scanner freq search still works.
Like yesterday I searched and got French Rafales/Tanker departing Norfolk Va.on Boom freq 234.775.
Never hurts to do freq searching at times.. Sometimes you get lucky :)

Disappointed Navy Brass in GLF5 on way back to DC from Navy-Notre Dame game in NY.
Notre Dame crushed.

TREND11 flt on the ground at ACY this afternoon. Arrived with a Freedom approach.
Excellent catch as you can see those ER gas tanks and was busy day at Mildenhall (Home of the square D) this morning as A/C F-16's prepare to depart.. Welcome home Jersey Devils!
That base looks crowded :)

Out on West Coast seems VINYL-71 tanker to Utah area for receivers and now back
offshore San Fran meeting with VINYL-72.. Some Utah F-35's? Press on to Hawaii?

Good morning Mark and all,

VINYL 61 (63-8020), VINYL 62 (21-46090), VINYL 71 (61-0295) and VINYL 72 (19-46063)
dragged twelve 388FW F-35s to Honolulu as SPINE 11 and SPINE 21 flight.

I was always under the impression that this standard Coronet West callsign used to be PINE,
however ACARS message and radio calls now indicate that the correct callsign should be SPINE ....

Any thoughts on this ?

Rgr NOBLE-11.12 up in CAP having some radio difficulties but working on it.
Tanker is ADVICE-21 KC-135 out of Milwaukee.. Said they had real early start today..LOL
NOBLE-11.12 are the F-15C's out of Barnes. A/A 259.900. Seems will have these guys till January.
MA ANG out of Barnes took over for SC ANG out of Shaw Oct 1, am I correct?

Is it a sixth month assignment?

Good beautiful sunday morning all,

Today in the early sunday morning RCH 4070 took off from Minot AFB heading east. Probably an upcoming BTF europe deployment to RAF Fairford. Currently RCH 4070 is over Iceland with ADS-B turned off.

Correction/Update: RCH 4070 crossed into German airspace.

Just a slight correction I believe it was the 79th Tigers from Shaw on the last CAP right? If so that’s an active duty squadron. SC ANG (the 157th FS) flies out of McEntire about 20mins west down 378.

I was tracking KC-135 59-1488 and visually spotting him on CAP passes over New Castle this morning. Around noon, he disappeared off ADS-B, but I went outside and just looked up. After just a couple of minutes, much to my surprise I was able to spot an F-15 overhead, making a sharp banking climb. Pretty pleased with myself for seeing it, let alone tracking it camera-wise for focus due to his distance (5+ miles overhead) and speed. :)
