Monitoring comms / scanning / searching. Rene's been at it for years.
The tankers discussed the frequencies before departure.

For those people not in line of sight range of the Merkin bases in East Anglia there are some public zello channels:
EGUN
EGUL
EGUL RAPCON

Maybe others. There are certainly a couple of Scottish Mil and Dutch Mil ones.

Just looked at Globaltuners and there are still a few receivers which ought to give reasonable coverage over the Midlands and North East of England too.
Excuse my ignorance but what is a Merkin base please? More specifically, the term Merkin. I know of Mild and Lakenheath.

Thought I heard the rumble of fighters overhead with nothing commercial in the area. Just heard PCT on 350.25 talking about someone entering the ATCAA, no reply heard though.

Seeing a tanker on adsb.

COSMICs in the CAP. 228.9

1337- VENUS31 being called on guard. 243.0.Told to try 121.05.

Hearing COMIC's A/A 260.900 not real strong. Sounds like exercise after tracking target saying"ceasefire"
but also mention going to the tanker too. NORAD does a rotten job of posting exercises or scrambles.
Anyone have a better source for them?

RAVEN-01 (A-10C #78-0683) 104th FS MD ANG

Heard RAVEN-01 flight of 4 inbound Martin State runway-33 on Pot apch 317.425.

1625 local COSMIC's with ZDC UHF said going out to W-107 for 10 minutes to burn some gas before rtb.
Guess a bit overweight after CAP tanker topoff.

Rare EA/18G on ADSB. ZAPPER-21 #168268 VAQ-130 coming East over Wash State on test flight?
They can show when they want to :) Same squadron that lost crew of two recently.

Good morning Mark and all,

VINYL 61 (63-8020), VINYL 62 (21-46090), VINYL 71 (61-0295) and VINYL 72 (19-46063)
dragged twelve 388FW F-35s to Honolulu as SPINE 11 and SPINE 21 flight.

I was always under the impression that this standard Coronet West callsign used to be PINE,
however ACARS message and radio calls now indicate that the correct callsign should be SPINE ....

Any thoughts on this ?
Looks like some Hill AFB F-22's pressed on today as currently VINYL-61 rtb Honolulu Hawaii.
Maybe they will relieve the Langley F-22's still out there? Course shows towards Guam perhaps.
