1020L- The 4 FURY flights just passed back over me again after refueling at KWRI, heading north towards VZ bridge. A/A 242.4, now over to 123.05 Hudson River traffic.
Nice! Thought for a sec they were coming down here to prank the Naval Academy for next Saturdays game
but thought again not likely on a Sunday..
Army this year is going with 101st airborne Screaming Eagles theme this year so expect a good chopper visit
from Ft Campbell later this week in the area. The game is at Landover Maryland this year.

My 98-year-old mother passed away on Friday so it's been awhile since I've had a chance to look in here. However, I heard the F-5s and grabbed a few frames. I was happy to check in here and find out what was happening. You're all always on top of the latest developments :)

Thanks for the kind words about my mom. It was a long week for my brother and me staying at her place outside Philadelphia, but thankfully her passing was about as peaceful as you could hope for. Now we've got a ton of red tape and stuff to deal with, but looking forward to getting back to chasing aircraft ;) Meanwhile - I was home this weekend so after the flyover earlier I took a drive over to KILG at halftime of the Eagles game to see if our visitors were still on hand, and there they were hanging with the 166th Airlift Wing C-130s. I have not heard anything since so I'd assume they are still there - perhaps an overnight visit?

Out of area...but on topic

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted dozens of precision airstrikes targeting known ISIS camps and operatives in central Syria, Dec. 8. The operation struck over 75 targets using multiple U.S. Air Force assets, including B-52s, F-15s, and A-10s.

I have been trying for hours to find at least the BUFF, with no success.

Yesterday, Dec. 7th, there was GRIMM 21 crossing Kuwait FIR midday, but it's highly unlikely it was part of the ATO strike package. The airstrikes took place on Dec. 8th in the early morning...

Probably airline traffic overlay ruining the B-52 comms.

At least there were 3 to 4 MQ-9 Reapers on scene.

They took place between noon and 1pm eastern time according to the NSC press call I was on just after 2pm today.

This is surprising indeed!

I will take a closer look on the LiveATC feed, the Kuwaiti ATC's behaved strange, they asked literally every US military acft. crossing the FIR to confirm they are single ship, after 0730am.

Kuwait ATC: PYTHON 14 are you single ship?

PYTHON 14: We are single ship, PYTHON 14.

Kuwait ATC: PYTHON 14, can you confirm you are single ship?

PYTHON 14: affirm, we are single ship, PYTHON 14.

PYTHON 15, 340th EARS KC-135 out of Al Udeid AB, was part of the strike package ATO.

Seperation is @15:40

I would love to have the other platforms aswell, the A-10's and F-15E's but they are deployed elsewhere in the CENTCOM AOR and are therefore geographically seperated from the persian/arabian gulf traffic, so there is no chance to find out their callsigns.

I was told the two F-15E squadrons operate under the callsign DUDE and EAGLE, the A-10's (3 Squadrons "Rainbow Team") are operating under the callsigns HOG and GUNN. For special days, like pilot/WSO birthday, or a pilot/WSO becoming a mom or dad while deployed, they fly with their usual squadron callsign, so they feel close to home and their loved ones.
