All B-52's will return soon.

I won't be able to listen to them, but here's an update for you folks!

Edit: An F-15E squadron will be heading home aswell. The statement did not further specify which squadron that would be, it's almost no secret, it will be the 389th (E)FS, the Thunderbolts out of Mountain Home AFB, ID. Callsigns will be as usual TABOR and/or a mix with MAZDA.

BLUE-01 #20-46080 and BLUE-11 #15-46070.

Why did you call 243.000 an "old emergency freq"?
121.500 and 243.000 (which is a harmonic of 121.5) are not longer actively monitored by satellites for emergency distress. 121.500 is still incorporate in the ELT but only for short range low power homing in on a crashed aircraft.

While 121.500 and 243.000 are still monitored for voice calls - and warning civilian aircraft of areas to avoid or lost radio contact for ATC etc all of the newer ELTs in relationship to aircraft (since we mostly talk about aircraft here) transmit on 406.000 (COSPAS-SARSAT 406 MHz Distress Beacons).

I had 2 tankers, one was a McConnell KC-46 Pegasus, reg. 17-46026, flying as RCH843, crossing the Atlantic with squawk 2157. The Pegasus was not alone, a MacDill KC-135 Stratotanker was ahead, reg. 61-0321 had no callsign shown on ads-b. It squawked 1470. This was almost 2 days ago.

Found this interesting article. Seems to have all current fighter aircraft deployed in the middle east (well some squadrons returned). This article is more or less actual but does not include the recent Syria events.

As a request, please mark your posts that are not from the Mid-Atlantic as OFF TOPIC, as this thread deals with aircraft along the east coast (and we have been allowed to expand "mid-atlantic" to include most of the east coast) but Syria and the middle east is a stretch unless the aircraft is actually transiting the east coast during the post. Just my opinion, others may feel different, but ...

You are absolutely right RaleighGuy my bad,

I apologize for violating the thread guidelines. I also did them in a hurry.

From now on I will have an O/T checklist, prior to posting something in this thread.

Did I miss a NOTAM? Usually the DC ANG F-16s use Potomac 348.725 when they depart. Lately they're using 257.2.
It probably had to do with the direction they were departing

I have listed the following:

257.200 Potomac TRACON (KDCA) - West Approach/Departure (Paired with 118.95)
348.725 Potomac TRACON (KDCA) - East Approach/Departure - 121st FS DC ANG #5 (Paired with 125.65)

Pretty sure these guys brought some LN Strike Eagles home in the early hours of this morning. The six jets all were decorated with nose art inspired by Greek mythology which was applied during their time in CENTCOM.
