Last time on ADSB.. Said was circling Long Beach on way as that is where this aircraft was built.
Funny as seems Boeing's best aircraft built at Long Beach were KC-10's and C-17's and McDonnell Douglas designs.

Also looks like a Barksdale Buff headed for Miramar MCAS airshow coming up this weekend.
I'm sure Navy/Marine folks will enjoy that on display :)
Static Displays - Miramar Air Show
Airshow Prohibited items include..
FRS/GMRS radios, VHF band and other scanners
Transmitters/trans-receivers
Does that mean cellphones too? They're tx/rx as well.

There is still the private KC-10's like Omega-10 N974VV working offshore Baja tonight.
Maybe they will end up purchasing some retired USAF KC-10's down the road.

There is a VINYL-81 KC-46 working offshore Norfolk now.. Wonder who that is for?
Came out of SJ. Looks like VINYL-81 did boom check with Backy-43 and is now headed NW at FL-250.

Poking around I see last night a VINYL-71 departed Arizona 0200z #62-3529 and flying high to Alaska
and so did VINYL-61 #62-3529 earlier from Travis at around 0030z.
VINYL-81 is now inbound runway 10L at Pittsburgh. Odd staging point. Maybe the earlier VINYLS gonna
bring some fighters East later this week from Alaska or vice versa?

They still allow scanners at the NAS Oceana airshow but the last 2-3 years Langley AFB (and I think most AFB's) have forbidden scanners. And I know Langley is rabid about it. On another note, I fly out of KPVG and the nearly black H-60's and Chinooks are there a lot, usually in threes. A lot of the times they're there together. Interesting seeing passengers disembark wearing Hawaiian print shirts, shorts and Oakley's

Noticed MAKER01 (KC-46 21-46093, 305th’s newest) depart McGuire heading west around 1640 local. Now almost six hours later, it appears to be doing night AR with a V-22 (168680) in the southernmost part of California. Orbiting at 9,300ft.
